Badania podłużne w obszarze osobowości i aksjologii mają za zadanie stwierdzać jakie różnice, podobieństwa i zmiany zaszły w tych obszarach. Artykuł podejmuje temat charakteru zmian w poczuciu sensu życia w oparciu o prezentację autorskiego Modelu Osobowościowo-Aksjologicznego (MOA) w grupie dwóch pokoleń aktorów polskich. Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta saistība starp verbāliem un neverbāliem līdzekļiem, lai panāktu komunikatīvu mērķtiecīgumu lietišķajās prezentācijās. Darba mērķis ir analizēt un salīdzināt verbālo un neverbālo līdzekļu lietojumu un savienojumu lietišķajās prezentācijās, ko veic trīs profesionāli runātāji. Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanai ir izvēlēts literatūras apskats un gadījumu izpēte ka pētījuma metodes. Most research into the adaptive significance of warning signals has focused on the colouration and patterns of prey animals. However, behaviour, odour and body shape can also have signal functions and thereby reduce predators' willingness to attack defended prey. European vipers all have a distinctive triangular head shape; and they are all venomous. Several non-venomous snakes, including the subfamily Natricinae, commonly flatten their heads (also known as head triangulation) when disturbed. The adaptive significance of this potential behavioural mimicry has never been investigated. Tutkielman tavoite oli selvittää teknisen tekstin kääntämisessä esiintyviä käännösongelmia ja prosessin yleistä luonnetta. Aineistona käytettiin lehtitalojen käyttöön tarkoitetun jakeluohjelmiston suomenkielistä käyttöopasta, siitä itse tehtyjä käännöksiä englanniksi, sekä kääntämisen ohella kirjoitettua käännöspäiväkirjaa. Käännökset tehtiin osana kääntäjäharjoittelua ja ne tulivat kaupalliseen käyttöön. The cover and extent of boreal broadleaved forests have been decreasing due to modern forest management practices and fire suppression. As decomposers of woody material, polypores are ecologically important ecosystem engineers. The ecology and conservation biology of polypores have been studied intensively in boreal coniferous forests. However, only a few studies have focused on the species living on broadleaved trees. Abstract. This paper reports the results of an experiment that aims at the virtual reconstruction of a urban site that has been partially reshaped during the 20th century; the reconstruction process is based on period photos. The chosen case study is the eldest harbour of Palermo, named ‘Cala’; the site was bombed during World War II and new buildings took the place of the ruined ones. Two period photos, taken from an aircraft, document the buildings that were destroyed by bombs. Climate and extreme rainfall events in the Mono river basin (West Africa): investigating future changes with Regional Climate Models.

This study characterizes the future changes in extreme rainfall and air temperature in the Mono river basin where the main economic activity is weather dependent and local populations are highly vulnerable to natural hazards, including flood inundations. Daily precipitation and temperature from observational datasets and Regional Climate Models (RCMs) output from REMO, RegCM, HadRM3, and RCA were used to analyze climatic variations in space and time, and fit a GEV model to investigate the extreme rainfalls and their return periods. The results indicate that the realism of the simulated climate in this domain is mainly controlled by the choice of the RCMs. These RCMs projected a 1 to 1.5 °

This paper addresses the tsunami propagation and subsequent coastal areas flooding by means of a depth-integrated numerical model. Such an approach is fundamental in order to assess the inundation hazard in coastal areas generated by seismogenic tsunami. In this study we adopted, an interdisciplinary approach, in order to consider the tsunami propagation, relates both to geomorphological characteristics of the coast and the bathymetry.
