The mathematical formalism of category theory allows to investigate musical structures at both low and high levels, performance practice (with musical gestures) and music analysis. Mathematical formalism can also be used to connect music with other disciplines such as visual arts. Reliable Planar Object Pose Estimation in Light Fields From Best Subaperture Camera Pairs

International audience; A light-field camera can obtain richer information about a scene than a usual camera. This property offers a lot of potential for robot vision. In this paper, we present a method for pose estimation of a planar object with a light-field camera. The light-field camera can be regarded as a set of sub-aperture cameras. Although any combination of them can theoretically be used for the pose estimation, the accuracy depends on the combination. We show that the estimated pose error can be reduced by selecting the best pair of sub-aperture cameras. Abstract Correlation coefficient is frequently used to obtain cardiac rhythm by peak estimation and appreciate differences in the signal compared to a pattern. This work focuses on the description of a real-time correlation assessment procedure. Applied to electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, a new correlation value is obtained every new sample and pulse detection information is provided. We introduce and analyze a class of models with nonlocal point constraints for traffic flow through bottlenecks, such as exits in the context of pedestrians traffic and reduction of lanes on a road under construction in vehicular traffic. Constraints are defined based on data collected from non-local in space and/or in time observations of the flow. We propose a theoretical analysis and discretization framework that permits to include different data acquisition strategies; a numerical comparison is provided.
