Abstract Social implementation of post-humanism could affect the biological evolution of living beings and especially that of humans. This paper addresses the issue from the biological and anthropological-philosophical perspectives. In recent years, qualitative research has gained popularity and legitimacy in sport and exercise psychology. However, this scientific discipline has not yet paid attention to postqualitative inquiry (PQI), despite the possibilities it offers for producing different knowledge and producing knowledge differently. The present article is the first attempt to rectify this lack of attention by offering a brief and partial sketch of PQI in the context of sport and exercise psychology. Esittelemme kriittistä militarismitutkimusta (engl. Critical Mfilitary Studies) ja tutkimuksellisia näkökulmia suomalaiseen militarismiin ja militarisaatioon. Pohdimme, millaisia ilmentymiä militarismi ja militarisaatio saavat Suomessa, ja hahmottelemme mahdollisia tulevan tutkimuksen suuntia. Pyrimme herättämään keskustelua suomalaisen yhteiskunnan militarisaatiosta, sotilaallisen vallan koskemattomuudesta sekä ekseptionalistisesta asemasta suomalaisessa yhteiskunnassa. Līdz ar augošo mijiedarbību start tehnoloģijām un cilvēku, robežas starp tiem pamazām izzūd. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt attiecības starp cilvēku un tā radīto būtni Ričarda Pauersa romānā “Galatea 2,2”, intelektuālo mašīnu un cilvēka mijiedarbību posthumānisma kontekstā un tehnoloģiju spēju parādīt pašapziņu par spīti to bezķermeniskumam. Helēna ir posthumānisma ķermenis, kuru cilvēki ir radījuši ar cerību, ka tā spēs nokārtot Turinga testu. Helēna sāk izrādīt apziņu, kas palīdz tai izveido ciešas attiecības ar Pauersu.

The current transhumanist or posthumanist movements continue the thesis of the old gnosis devaluing the creation like something imperfect. Its novelty is to believe in the possibility of overcoming the creation thanks to technology (biotechnology and bionics). The hierarchical human-centric paradigm has been criticized by various movements of posthuman philosophy because this paradigm forgets and dismisses nonhuman beings and entities: animals, nature, objects, and technology. When I developed a course called ‘Education and Adaptations of Animal Studies’ for university students in 2015, I learned two lessons in practice. First, many humans, pedagogues, and academics want to hold on to their anthropocentric worldview that separates them from other species. Pro-gradu -työssäni tutkin Jussi Heikkilän lintuaiheista taidetta ihmistieteellisen eläintutkimuksen ja kriittisen posthumanismin näkökulmista. Tutkimukseni keskittyy tarkastelemaan minkälaisia merkityksiä linnut Heikkilän taiteessa saavat ja minkälaista käsitystä luonnon ja kulttuurin välisestä suhteesta hänen taiteensa lintujen kautta rakentaa. Samalla tarkastelen laajemmin eläinten ja luonnon esittämistä kuvataiteessa. Tutkin myös Heikkilän asemoitumista suomalaisten eläimiä ja luontoa käsittelevien nykytaiteilijoiden joukossa.
