AbstractPurified outer membrane proteins (OMP) of Salmonella minnesota, Re-form, were incorporated into liposomes. These induced in macrophages a chemiluminescence signal identical to that of the intact Re-form. This signal was abolished by preincubation of porin-containing liposomes with purified C1q. Incorporation of isolated OMP into black lipid membranes (BLM) resulted in channel-formation which could not be inhibited by isolated C1q. Additionally, incubation of OMP-containing liposomes with BLM resulted in pore-formation within the BLM. This was amplified when lipid A was present within the liposomes. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kielitaidon taitotasoittaista kehittymistä potentiaalisten esiintymien analyysin (Potential Occasion Analysis, Thewissen, 2015) avulla. Kehittymistä analysoidaan tarkkuuden näkökulmasta, ja sitä mitataan kohdekielen muoto- ja käyttökonventioista poikkeavien muotojen määrällä. Tutkimus on korpuspohjaista virheanalyysia (Corpus-aided Error Analysis, Dagneaux, Dennes & Granger, 1998), ja se perustuu taitotasoilla havaittujen, yhdeksään virheluokkaan sijoittuvien virheiden määrien tilastolliseen testaukseen. Maģistra darbs uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 32 lappusēm. Tas satur 15 attēlus un ir atsauces uz 37 literatūras avotiem. Strauji attīstoties trīsdimensiju (3D) vizualizācijas tehnoloģijai ir nepieciešams precīzi novērtēt cilvēka spēju pielāgoties tai. Šādos pētījumos plaši tiek izmantots EEG. Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt smadzeņu aktivitātes īslaicīgās izmaiņas, skatoties uz volumetriskiem attēliem un salīdzinot ar anaglifa 3D attēlu aplūkošanu. Uzdevums bija noteikt tuvāk esošo apli starp četriem projicētiem apļiem. Smadzeņu aktivitātes signālu reģistrēšanai tika izmantots EEG. The title halogenated organic chalcone was prepared by a Claisen–Schmidt condensation reaction. A Hirshfeld surface analysis was carried out to reveal the percentage contributions of the intermolecular interactions. A theoretical study was performed using the density functional theory (DFT) at B3LYP with the 6–311 G++(d,p) basis set level to compare with the experimental results of the X-ray analysis and UV–vis absorption analysis in term of the geometrical parameters, HOMO-LUMO energy gap and charge distributions.

Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and Hirshfeld surface analysis of the title compound were carried out to analyse quantitatively the intermolecular interactions involved in the crystal packing. The electrostatic potential surface was generated over the Hirshfeld surface to visualize the potential active sites.
Geometrical and conformational preferences of the 9‐fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl‐amino moiety

Structural parameters, originating from x-ray crystallographic data, have been compiled for 13 derivatives of amino acids, peptides and related compounds, which contain a total of 14 Fmoc-NH- moieties. For these moieties, molecular geometries and conformations--described by the omegao, theta1, theta2 and theta3' torsion angles--were analysed and compared with the corresponding parameters for the Z-NH- and Boc-NH-moieties (290 and 553, respectively). Synthesis, characterization and magnetic study of two new octahedral iron(III) complexes with pendant zwitterionic Schiff bases

Two Schiff bases, HL1 [2-((3-(dimethylamino)propylimino)methyl)-5-bromophenol] and HL2 [2-((2-(diethylamino)ethylimino)methyl)-6-methoxyphenol], have been employed to prepare two new octahedral iron(III) complexes, [Fe(HL1)2(N3)2]ClO4·2H2O (1) and [Fe(HL2)2(NCS)2]ClO4·H2O (2). Both complexes are characterized by spectral and elemental analyses. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies confirm their structures. In both complexes, Schiff bases are trapped in their zwitterionic forms and coordinated to iron(III) only through the imine nitrogen and phenoxo oxygen, i.e., they behave as bi-dentate ligands, keeping the remaining potential donor sites pendant.
