BACKGROUND: Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 aims to "ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages". While a substantial effort has been made to quantify progress towards SDG3, less research has focused on tracking spending towards this goal. We used spending estimates to measure progress in financing the priority areas of SDG3, examine the association between outcomes and financing, and identify where resource gains are most needed to achieve the SDG3 indicators for which data are available. I due decenni che ci hanno preceduto hanno portato alla acquisizione di importanti informazioni circa gli effetti dannosi delle radiazioni ionizzanti (raggi X e g) sull’uomo. Il contatto con simili radiazioni, dovuto alla radioattività prodotta artificialmente a seguito e delle esplosioni nucleari – che si sono susseguite dalla seconda guerra mondiale fino agli anni 60 – e dell’utilizzo della radioattività per la produzione di energia nucleare ha provocato l’immissione accidentale nell’ambiente di rifiuti radioattivi e prodotti di fissione, determinando il rischio di gravi pregiudizi anche ad enorme distanza dal luogo di diramazione delle radiazioni. Il saggio riflette sui mutamenti culturali, determinati dagli effetti della globalizzazione, che hanno trasformato modelli comportamentali e stili di vita. Sottolinea come la libertà individuale si sia accompagnata ad un impoverimento della sfera emotiva. Lo stesso concetto di esperienza ha sostituito le sue concrete connotazioni con surrogati fittizi. Esso, in ultima analisi, non è riconducibile –a giudizio dell’autrice - alla conoscenza ‘cosale’ della realtà, ma agli effetti (stupore, curiosità, orrore etc.) che gli artefatti virtuali della “Galassia Internet” producono su di noi.
