Performance of grid-connected PV system in Southern Norway

This paper presents performance results from one of the first grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems in Norway. The 45 kWp system is mounted on top of a flat roof at the headquarters of a local utility company, Agder Energi, in the coastal town of Kristiansand. The system consists mainly of multi-crystalline silicon modules, with one thin film array. The system has been in operation since May 2011 and is instrumented for research and monitoring purposes. D-Q axis theory of thermomagnetic Curie motor

2010

This paper presents a the d-q axis theory of a thermomagnetic Curie motor. From this theory a maximization procedure of the performances of Curie motor has been developed. The proposed approach has shown that the thermomagnetic Curie motor is equivalent from a magnetic point of view to a d.c. electric machine. Consequently, a design of a Curie motor has been proposed and the calculated performances show a significant improvement in comparison to the performances reported in literature.

The primary focus of this review is the discussion of how biosensor-based platforms can be used in conjunction with microbial cells for monitoring, environmental and industrial applications. Passive congregation based particle swam optimization (pso) with self-organizing hierarchical approach for non-convex economic dispatch

This paper proposes a passive congregation based PSO with self-organizing hierarchical algorithm approach for solving the economic dispatch problem of power system, where some of the units have prohibited operating zones. This Algorithm is known to perform better than conventional gradient based optimization methods for non-convex optimization problems. Conventional PSO algorithm is a population based heuristic search, employing problem of premature convergence. In this work, an innovative approach based on the concept of passive congregation based PSO with self-organizing hierarchical approach is employed to overcome the problem of premature convergence in classical PSO method.
