Ritz Solution for Transient Analysis of Variable-Stiffness Shell Structures

The dynamic response of thin-walled structures is driven by mass and stiffness distribution. As such, variable-stiffness (VS) composites offer opportunities to tune structural dynamic responses. To this extent, efficient analysis tools become increasingly important for structural analysis and design purposes. In this work, an efficient and versatile Ritz method for free vibrations and linear transient analysis of VS doubly curved shell structures is presented. VS shell structures are modeled as an assembly of shell-like domains. Tässä raportissa tarkastellaan Kansallisen koulutuksen arviointikeskuksen (Karvin) toteuttaman kansallisen arvioinnin tuloksia perusopetukseen valmistavan opetuksen ja oppilaan oman äidinkielen opetuksen tilasta ja vaikuttavuudesta. Arviointi kohdistuu erityisesti opetuksen tavoitteiden toteutumiseen ja opetuksen järjestämistapoihin. Lisäksi selvitetään opetusta ja oppimista edistäviä ja estäviä tekijöitä. Arviointi tuottaa tietoa hallituksen Oikeus oppia -kehittämisohjelmaan. Artikkelissa esitellään NomadTown, joka on hätätilojen ennakointiin, torjuntaan ja sopeutumiseen sekä myönteisten vaikutusten tuottamiseen toimintansa perustava “resilienssihubi”. Artikkelissa hahmotellaan NomadTowniin kehittyneen alakulttuurin koulutuksellista taustaa ja tehdään syvällinen kuvaus NomadTownia ympäröivästä yhteiskunnasta oppimisen paikkana. Tämä kontekstuaalisointi nojaa tietoisuuteen dispositiivista Foucault'n tarkoittamassa mielessä. Lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic: results of EAHP survey on the future crisis preparedness of hospital pharmacies

Aim The present survey aimed to collect information on the lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic by hospital pharmacists. It focused on the shortages of health goods and the experiences of hospitals during the first phase of the crisis. Methods A 17-question survey was conducted by EAHP, looking at the experiences of hospital pharmacists during the COVD-19 pandemic. The survey ran from 16 September to 23 December 2020. Statistical analysis included backward stepwise logistic regression (BSLR), Pearson’s χ2 test, t-test and one-way ANOVA, as appropriate; p≤0.05 was considered statistically significant. Sabiedrībai novecojot un palielinoties hronisku saslimšanu skaitam, pieaug vairāku medikamentu vienlaicīga lietošana. Darbā apkopota informācija par polifarmācijas, poliherbācijas termina skaidrojumiem, izplatību, riskiem, nevēlamas polifarmācijas mazināšanas iespējām. Veicot daļēji strukturēto interviju vecāka gadagājuma cilvēkiem Rīgas aptiekās un aptaujājot cilvēkus internetā, tika pētīta polifarmācijas izplatība, medikamentu, uztura bagātinātāju, augu valsts preparātu lietošana Latvijā. Molecular weights of polyethylene (PE) obtained with using of zirconocene catalyst activated with large excess of methylaluminoxane (MAO) were determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) method. It was found that repeatability of the measurements is strongly influenced by MAO remained in PE samples as well as time of sample keeping in the apparatus (dissolution + measurement time) at temp. 142 °C. A method of MAO removing from PE samples, before GPC measurement, based on additional washing of the sample with HF in methanol solution has been proposed. The prepolymerization effect on propylene polymerization in the presence of a TiCl3‐based catalyst, modified by di‐n‐buthyl ether, was studied. The influence of prepolymerization on the electron spin resonance spectra and morphology of the catalyst, as well as the properties and the morphology of both prepolymer and regular polymerization products, was investigated. The polymer morphology was evaluated through scanning electron microscopy, polymer bulk density, and particle size distribution. The aim of this paper is to investigate the space-time mapping of the future in Homeric Greek. It is widely accepted that the spatial adverbs πρόσσω ‘in front’ and ὀπίσσω ‘behind’ in the Homeric poems are used to portray temporal events located in a sequence of aligned entities that follow one after the other on the same path (Dunkel, 1983, p. 66). In such a temporal sequence, or Time-rp model, those adverbs are associated respectively to past and future events in a bipartite spatial representation of time, without involving a deictic ego-experiencer. Wpływ sposobu dawkowania preparatu enzymatycznego na zmiany mikrobiologiczne i przemiany węglowodorów alifatycznych w glebie skażonej węglowodorami

Usuwanie produktów ropopochodnych ze skażonej gleby jest trudnym procesem, wymagającym uwagi oraz stałej kontroli. W pracy podjęto próbę określenia wpływu techniki dawkowania preparatu enzymatycznego na zmiany mikrobiologiczne i przemiany węglowodorów alifatycznych w glebie naturalnie skażonej węglowodorami. Materiał do badań stanowiła gleba naturalnie skażona substancjami ropopochodnymi, w której całkowite stężenie węglowodorów alifatycznych o długości łańcuchów C8-C40 wynosiło 420,1 mg/kg suchej masy. Przeprowadzono doświadczenia wazonowe, dawkując preparat enzymatyczny w odstępach tygodniowych. Kontrolę stanowiła skażona gleba bez dodatku preparatu enzymatycznego. Doniczki inkubowano w t…
