Autobiographical memory and the self in a single-case of chronic unilateral spatial neglect

International audience; Unilateral spatial neglect (USN) is mainly defined as a condition affecting perception and the mental representation of the environment. However, nothing is known about its impact on the ability to mentally represent one's past and on personal identity. We addressed these questions in a case of chronic USN, DR, a 59-year-old right-handed woman, who underwent a variety of measures exploring the self and autobiographical memory (AM). DR showed preserved self-images and her AM performance was only preserved when memories were prompted by her own self-images and not by self-unrelated cues. Our findings are discussed in light of the interconnection between the self and AM.

It is known that the visual information given by performers during a performance works as a useful channel of communication to the audience. In my previous studies, many performers referred to the importance of gazing behavior or eye contact. The purpose of this research is to explore the role of gaze during live performance by measuring the timing and direction of gazing. The aim of this paper is to analyse the evolution of gender balance in the Italian Constitutional system with respect to electoral representation (Art. 51th of the Italian Constitution). Effective achieving of electoral representation has been heavily difficult for women in Italy. In 2010 the Constitutional Judge recognized the necessity of gender balance measures. However, the instruments provided by laws had not any real success and women are not effectively represented in political Assemblies.

In the judgment no. 62 of 2022, the Italian Constitutional Court deals one more time with the principle of equal access in political representation. The decision shows a new approach of the Italian Constitutional Judge in strengthening gender equality, on the basis of Art. 3rd and Art. 51.1st of the Italian Constitution and provides the principle with a new effectiveness.

Based on a retrospective cohort design with six-year-old children born in twin births, the relationship between verbal, non-verbal, global neuropsychological development, general intelligence and type of delivery has been studied. To this end, the possible effect of third gestational, obstetric and neonatal variables, such as maternal age at delivery, fetal presentation, gestational age, newborn weight and Apgar at minute one, was controlled.
