Precursori di Deficit dell'Attenzione e disturbi di iperattività (ADHD) in bambini moderatamente pretermine di età prescolare

2013

Temperamental profile and attachment in preterm children with moderate prematurity during the preschool age

2012

Background Preterm birth is characterized by prematurity (functional and organic immaturity related to gestational age <32 weeks) and constitutes not only a risk condition for the child’s survival and the development characteristics after the birth, also represents a specific factor that is responsible for the. Neonatal developmental trajectory is characterized by the interruption of prenatal maturation processes that guide the development of the temperament (Hack, Fanaroff, 1999; Saigal, 2006), as well as the precursors of the attachment bond. In particular, with regard to the temperament, the literature evidences the existence of temperamental profiles characterized by motor restlessness,…

Adrb3 adrenergic receptor is a key regulator of human myometrial apoptosis and inflammation during chorioamnionitis1

2008

The pathophysiology underlying preterm labor triggered by inflammatory conditions such as chorioamnionitis remains largely unclear. It has already been suggested that beta-3 adrenergic (ADRB3) agonists might be of interest in the pharmacological management of preterm labor. Although there is evidence implicating ADRB receptors in the control of inflammation, there are minimal data relating specifically to ADRB3. To explore the cellular consequences of chorioamnionitis and detect apoptosis, we first performed immunostaining and Western blot experiments on human myometrial samples obtained from women with confirmed chorioamnionitis. We then developed an in vitro model of chorioamnionitis by i…

PROCESSI DI ATTENZIONE IN BAMBINI DI ETA’ PRESCOLARE NATI GRAVEMENTE E MODERATAMENTE PRETERMINE

2014

Sounding Together: Family-Centered Music Therapy as Facilitator for Parental Singing During Skin-to-Skin Contact

2017

Introduction: When it comes to the delicate relationship between a baby and its parents, the voices of the parents have a significant role in communicating love, tenderness, and closeness as well as in supporting self-regulation as necessary for secure attachment. Under suboptimal experiences, such as premature birth, infant-directed singing takes on an even more important and therapeutic role since preterm infants miss the finely attuned auditory stimulation of the womb and the mother-infant dyad is disrupted too early.

Rehabilitative training of preterm children’s attention: a study on sustainability

2012

This article is concerned with the description of rehabilitative training aimed at severely and moderately preterm children at preschool age who display impairments of processes of selective attention, self-control and problem solving and who are at risk of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders. In line with a perspective of field study suggested by pediatric psychology, the treatment calls for the involvement of parents, teachers, neonatologists and children’s reference pediatricians. To be more precise, it is a study aimed at investigating the sustainability of the training path in terms of impact and transformative valence of the focalised processes. Involved in the study was a group…
