Youth aging out of foster care in Poland: Preliminary evaluation results from a pilot prevention program

The aim of this study was to provide results of a preliminary evaluation of the BRIGE (Building Resilience through Intervention, Guidance, and Empowerment) prevention program. The program was designed for youths aging out of the foster care system in Poland and starting independent life. Prior research by our research team documented that these youth are at high risk for homelessness, mental health problems, and other poor outcomes in the years after exiting foster care. Research participants were the first 5 youths who entered the BRIGE program (in fall 2009). All were preparing to leave orphanages in Poland. El 41.3% de los encuestados ha fumado tabaco alguna vez en la vida, y el 26.7% confirma un consumo en los 30 días previos a la realización de la encuesta, el primer consumo de tabaco se produce a los 14.1 años. Bakalaura darba tēmas – “Ceļa locītavu artrozes profilaktiskie pasākumi” ietvaros analizēti 36 literatūras avoti, no tiem 11 latviešu valodā, 7 krievu valodā, 16 angļu valodā un 1 vācu valodā. Ar ceļa locītavu artrozes saslimšanu pasaulē slimo 630 miljonus cilvēku. Katru gadu pacientu skaits pakāpeniski pieaug. Standardy profilaktyki zachowań ryzykownych wytyczają ramy jakości oddziaływań zapobiegawczych. Głównym celem wytyczania standardów jest maksymalizacja skuteczności zamierzeń profilaktycznych. Profilaktyka w środowisku otwartym i profilaktyka szkolna mają odmienne standardy, jednak głównymi założeniami wspólnymi dla obu praktyk jest obecność najważniejszych standardów - diagnozy oraz ewaluacji.
