”CodeInnova”: A Unified Framework for Teaching Programming and Computational Thinking In Primary Schools
2021
Teaching programming and computational thinking (CT) in primary schools have become more common in the last decade. However, there has been little international consensus on what teaching the topics encompass. We present CodeInnova, a framework developed jointly between four partnering countries for teaching programming and CT in K–9. In this paper, we present the curriculum for teaching CT and the accompanying teaching materials developed in CodeInnova. We also discuss preliminary results of testing the developed resources in classrooms.

Creativity development trajectories in Elementary Education: Differences in divergent and evaluative skills
2015
Abstract The aim of this paper is to analyse the developmental trajectory during childhood of the divergent and evaluative skills implicit in the creative process. A total of 1491 children, aged between 6 and 12 years old, from seven Spanish schools participated in the study by answering the Test de Creatividad Infantil (Child Creativity Test). The aforementioned instrument is based on the theoretical framework of “problem finding” and covers both the creative process and the product. It requires designing a model with stickers -formulation of the problem and then later on producing a drawing based on the model -solving the problem. The results show three types of developmental trajectories…
Key competences and plurilingual education in the Valencian Region (Spain) : a curricular analysis of Primary Education
2020
The purpose of this work is to study the level of transversality of key competences in Primary Education in the Valencian Community. To this end, an analysis of the Decree 108/2014 cur-rently in effect will be carried out, along with determining the frequency with which each competence is worked on during this stage of education. The data obtained will be interpreted bearing in mind plurilingual programs and, more specifically, the basis of the methodological needs that are pursued in CLIL, the approach to teaching non-linguistic areas through a foreign language. Generally, the findings point to a lack of transversality in some of the competences, one of them being the linguistic competence…
2019
The following paper documents the use of political artistic performances as an instrument to strengthen the links between democracy and education. This study has been carried out with 45 students enrolled in the course of Didactics of Physical Expressive Activities of the Primary Education Teacher's Degree. To document the proposal we have followed a qualitative methodology. The results show how artistic performances contribute to the process of political subjectivation of future teachers insofar as they are able to use educational institutions to claim a more plural idea of corporality. In this process, political performances are presented as an excellent teaching resource because they all…

2014
2011
The quality of primary education in Côte d'Ivoire has deteriorated sharply over the past three decades. This situation is the result of an approximate management of the education system, which is characterized by a lack of educational support, a misallocation of resources, a congestion of classrooms (42 students for a teacher in primary school) and a lack of skilled and well trained teachers. In addition, the military-political conflict in September 2002 did not allow to improve this situation; on the contrary, it has further deteriorated the situation. Thus, the aim of this thesis is first to analyze the influence of resource endowments on the effectiveness of primary schools in Cote d'Ivo…

Imagen de ciencia de estudiantes de Magisterio
2015
