Role ambiguity among school principals in China and Finland

This study explores the role-ambiguity phenomenon among public secondary school principals in China and Finland. Organizational dysfunction caused by role ambiguity in professional organizations has been studied since the 1960s (Kahn et al, 1964). Although role ambiguity occurs most frequently in educational organizations, few studies on role ambiguity are found on school leaders. In autumn 2015, it was announced that the government would execute massive budget cuts to education. This was due to the efforts of the new government to save money and balance the state economics. The amount of money that the state intended to save from the basic education, also known as primary and lower secondary schools nationwide was estimated to be around 40 million euros. 30 million euros out 40 million euro savings was from group size money and 10 million of development money. Opiniones y experiencias en el desempeño de la dirección escolar de las mujeres directoras en Andalucía

Este trabajo persigue identificar las opiniones y experiencias ante la dirección escolar de las directoras de centros públicos de Educación Infantil y Primaria en Andalucía. Se realizó un estudio tipo encuesta con una muestra de 206 directoras seleccionada mediante un muestreo polietápico, utilizando el cuestionario para la recogida de información. Los resultados muestran que las directoras tienen mediana edad, una dilatada experiencia profesional y, en su mayoría, están relativamente libres de cargas familiares.
