Process intensification in a photocatalytic membrane reactor: Analysis of the techniques to integrate reaction and separation

Abstract Different methods to integrate reaction and separation in a membrane reactor are studied in the present work, with the aim being to highlight the pros and cons of the different alternatives and the effects of the intervening parameters. The coupling of the two processes can take place inside a single apparatus or using separate units. If a single apparatus is utilized, the coupling is more direct, but separate units offer higher degrees of freedom for the design with more opportunities to optimize the system without constraints. A reaction engineering approach to kinetic analysis of photocatalytic reactions in slurry systems

Abstract The knowledge of the rate equation is fundamental for the assessment of the activity of the photocatalytic material and for the study, design and optimization of photocatalytic reactors. In the case of photocatalytic reactions, the local volumetric rate of photon absorption (LVRPA) affects the reaction rate and its inherently uneven distribution within a “slurry” reactor makes complex a correct kinetic analysis. ll presente articolo ha a oggetto l’evoluzione del principio di sussidiarietà orizzontale e verrà articolato secondo l’ordine esplicativo che segue. Nello specifico si darà sinteticamente atto del contesto politico-normativo che ha indotto il legislatore costituzionale nel 2001 a introdurre l’attuale testo dell’art. 118 della Costituzione italiana. Photodegradation of lincomycin in aqueous solution

2006

Aqueous solutions of lincomycin were irradiated with UV light in homogeneous and heterogeneous systems. Lincomycin disappeared in both systems but the presence ofTiO2noticeably accelerated the degradation of the antibiotic in comparison with direct photolysis. The rate of decomposition was dependent on the concentration of lincomycin and followed a pseudo-first-order kinetics. Photolysis involved only the oxidation of lincomycin without mineralization. Differently, the treatment withTiO2and UV light resulted in a complete mineralization of the antibiotic. The degradation pathways involved S- and N-demethylation and propyldealkylation. Cu-dopēto titāna dioksīda DFT modelēšana antibakteriālo īpašību izpētei

Titāna dioksīda (TiO2) visu trīs polimorfu (anatass, rutils, brokīts) nanodaļiņām piemīt antibakteriālās īpašības, tomēr vislabāk tās ir izteiktas anatasam. TiO2 antibakteriālās īpašības var skaidrot ar tā dabu - tas ir pusvadītājs - fotokatalizators. Lai uzlabotu fotokatalītiskās īpašības, TiO2 iespējams dopēt. Šajā darbā tiek aplūkotas divu TiO2 polimorfu - anatasa un rutila - dopēšana ar vara (Cu) atomiem, kas, balstoties uz eksperimentāliem datiem, var sekmēt antibakteriālo īpašību uzlabošanos.
