Sedimentation in a tropical, microtidal, wave-dominated coastal-plain estuary

The Mono estuary is an infilled, microtidal estuary located on the wave-dominated Bight of Benin coast which is subject to very strong eastward longshore drift. The estuarine fill comprises a thick unit of lagoonal mud deposited in a ‘central basin’between upland fluvial deposits and estuary-mouth wave-tide deposits. This lagoonal fill is capped by organic-rich tidal flat mud. In addition to tidal flat mud, the superficial facies overlying the ‘central basin’fill include remnants of spits resting on transgressive/washover sand, an estuary-mouth association of beach, shoreface, flood-tidal delta and tidal inlet deposits, and a thin sheet of fluvial sediments deposited over tidal flat mud. Heteroforiju izmaiņas pēc ilgstošas disociācijas un prizmu adaptācijs testa

Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 46 lapām. Tas satur 14 attēlus, 8 tabulas un 80 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis bija izvērtēt verģences adaptācijas ietekmi uz heteroforiju novērtējumu un prizmu adaptācijas testa pielietojumu klīniskajā praksē. Pirmajā daļā 40 dalībniekiem tika novērtētas heteroforija izmaiņas 2 minūšu laikā pēc disociācijas. Otrajā daļā tika novērtēta verģences adaptācija, izmantojot prizmu adaptācijas testu. Rezultāti parādīja, ka heteroforijas lielumu būtiski ietekmē disociācijas ilgums. Dalībniekiem ar diagnosticētu verģences anomāliju novēroja samazinātu verģences adaptāciju. Ģenētiskā daudzveidība ir sugu aizsardzībā svarīgs parametrs, kas raksturo populāciju izdzīvošanas spēju. Darba mērķis bija raksturot Eiropas kokvaržu sugu kompleksa ģenētisko daudzveidību, diferencēt Latvijā reintroducētās kokvardes sugu un noteikt tās ģenētisko daudzveidību. Sistemātiskās literatūras analīzē tika apkopotas biežāk izmantotās metodes ģenētiskās daudzveidības analīzē un izveidots sistemātisks literatūras pārskats par Eiropas kokvaržu ģenētisko daudzveidību. Sugas diferenciācijas rezultāti pierādīja, ka Latvijā reintroducētā kokvarde pieder Austrumu kokvardes Hyla orientalis sugai.
