In the paper we present a formal description of rough sets within the framework of the generalized set theory, which is interpreted in the set approximation theory. The rough sets are interpreted as approximations, which are defined by means of the Pawlak's rough sets.

The contribution of this study is two-fold: First, it outlines a conceptual framework on political order; and secondly, it offers empirical illustrations on the case of Nordic cooperation. Taken together, the article makes a plea for public administration scholarship in the study of political order. Political order consists of a relatively stable arrangement of institutions that are fairly formalized and institutionalized. In the present study, we investigated whether proangiogenic growth factors and endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) induce favourable effects on cutaneous incisional wound healing in diabetic mice. The proangiogenic effects of human EPCs were initially analyzed using a HUVEC in vitro angiogenesis assay and an in vivo Matrigel assay in nude mice (n=12). For the diabetic wound model, 48 Balb/c mice with streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes were divided randomly into 4 groups (12 mice in each group). Dextran sulfate (DS) consumed C3 in C4 deficient guinea pig serum. This temperature-dependent reaction required Mg++ ions and could therefore be blocked by EDTA. Isolated C3 was not influenced by DS, but serum factors were required for C3 consumption. The C3 proactivator as well as C3 were converted to their activated state by DS in guinea pig and human serum, as revealed by immunoelectrophoretical analysis. DS generated anaphylatoxin activity in serum. It is concluded that DS activates C3 via the alternate pathway of complement activation. El auge de la Criminología en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y en los primeros treinta años del XX dio lugar a una pequeña pero importante escuela de criminólogos españoles. El éxito del correccionalismo, junto con la extensión de las teorías de la Escuela Positiva italiana, dio lugar a la creación del Laboratorio de Criminología en Madrid, y la Escuela de Criminología para funcionarios o enseñanzas complementarias al Derecho Penal.
