The unerupted and impacted tooth is a common problem and the reason for many orthodontic and pediatric dental referrals, yet the approach to their management is still an area of controversy. This article presents two cases of severely impacted teeth that spontaneously erupted in the maxillary and mandibular arches. The first patient, a 9-year-old girl, presented a severe impaction of mandibular right and left second premolars. The second patient, a 7-year-old girl, presented with a severely impacted maxillary central incisor. BACKGROUND: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy of tertiary and quaternary cytoreduction in recurrent ovarian cancer patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS:Between January 1997 and December 2014, 53 patients were submitted to cytoreductive surgery for second and third ovarian cancer recurrence at our Unit. RESULTS:Median age at first diagnosis was 48 years (range=20-69). Forty-six patients (86.8%) underwent tertiary cytoreduction. At the time of surgery, isolated and diffuse disease was observed in 48 (90.6%) and 5 (9.4%) patients, respectively. The sample is extracted with ethanol, water, or exposed to modified polyphenylene oxide (Tenax) for fatty, non-fatty and dry food applications, respectively. The water extracts are directly suitable for safety assessment using in vitro bioassays.
