International audience; BACKGROUND: Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signaling plays a crucial role in growth and patterning during embryonic development, and also in stem cell maintenance and tissue regeneration in adults. Aberrant Shh pathway activation is involved in the development of many tumors, and one of the most affected Shh signaling steps found in these tumors is the regulation of the signaling receptor Smoothened by the Shh receptor Patched. International audience; Les études consacrées à la synthèse, par réaction solide-solide, du titanate de baryum (BaTiO3) ont montré l'importance des propriétés physicochimiques des solides initiaux (BaCO3 et TiO2) sur les propriétés du titanate obtenu. Lors de l'élaboration de céramiques diélectriques, il est en effet nécessaire d'éviter la formation de phases intermédiaires (Ba2TiO4, BaTi4O9, ...) qui nuisent à leurs propriétés diélectriques. Determination of fatty acids and lipid classes in salmon oil by near infrared spectroscopy

International audience; Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy was evaluated as a rapid method for the determination of oleic, palmitic, linoleic and linolenic acids as well as omega-3, omega-6, and to predict polyunsaturated, monounsaturated and saturated fatty acids, together with triacylglycerides, diglycerides, free fatty acids and ergosterol in salmon oil. To do it, Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression models were applied to correlate NIR spectra with aforementioned fatty acids and lipid classes. Computational modeling of molecularly imprinted polymers as a green approach to the development of novel analytical sorbents

Abstract The development of novel molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) sorbents for specific chemical compounds require a lot of tedious and time-consuming laboratory work. Significant quantities of solvents and reagents are consumed in the course of the verification of appropriate configurations of polymerization reagents. Implementation of molecular modeling in the MIP sorbent development process appears to provide a solution to this problem. Appropriate simulations and computations facilitate the determination of the nature of interaction between the reagents and thus the selection of the best configuration of chemicals for the preparation of the sorbent. Impact flavor compounds in cooked rice cultivars from the Camargue area (France)

International audience; Rice from two scented (Aychade, Fidji) and one nonscented (Ruille) cultivars from Camargue area (France) together with one Asian scented rice (Thai) were cooked and volatile compounds were extracted by dichloromethane/pentane (1;2, v/v) solvent mixture. 40 odorous compounds were noticed during GC-O analysis of the organic extracts, amongst which oct-1-en-3-one and 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline were altmost constantly perceived.
