International audience; Purpose: : To provide data on the differences in the lipid profile of the neural retina and RPE/choroid in healthy human eyes, and to establish plausible relationships with dietary fat intake, by comparing the lipid profile of the extra orbital fat. Methods: : Human eyes were collected from 28 human donors. The neural retina was dissected from the RPE/choroid. In 6 donors, the lacrimal gland and a piece of the extra orbital fat were collected. International audience; Purpose:: The purpose of this study was to compare the susceptibility of the retina and the exorbital lacrimal gland to dietary supplies in long chain omega-3 (ω3) and omega-6 (ω6) polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFAs). International audience; Purpose:Epidemiological studies suggest that dietary omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) may protect against prevalence of dry eye. This work aimed to evaluate whether a dietary deficiency in omega-3 PUFAs may increase the severity of dry eye in a scopolamine-induced rat model. Methods:Three consecutive generations of Lewis rats were bred under diets deprived of omega-3 PUFAs. Abstract The use of cement by nuclear industry for confining low radioactive waste knows a constant increase. The interest bore to this material is due to its mechanical and chemical properties. However, these properties may be modified by the nature and the amount of wastes introduced with the mixing solution especially with large amount of phosphate.
