Optical system for automatic color monitoring in heterogeneous media during vinification processes

Abstract Wine is one of the most important food products worldwide. However, the application of technologies to the winemaking process can improve. An RGBC optical sensor, used to measure color intensity and shade, was developed and tested in real environments. It is able to measure samples without filtering by offering the color intensity and shade of a filtered sample. Color intensity can be measured within the range of 1.5 and 9.5 color points with an approximate 3% error. The model for shade can be applied to red wines with an approximate 1% error. Long- and short-term in vitro D-dimer stability measured with INNOVANCE D-Dimer.

Summary In vitro D-dimer stability in plasma is widely assumed, but has not yet been documented by systematic studies using samples covering a wide range of D-dimer. We investigated the short- and long-term stability of D-dimer in clinical citrated plasma samples with normal and pathological levels. The short-term stability was analysed by measuring D-dimer fresh, after storage of plasma for 4 hours at room temperature (RT) and after an additional 24 h storage at +2 to +8°C (n=40). Long-term stability samples (n=40) were measured fresh and after storage for 19, 25 and 36 months at ≤-60°C. Molecular Identification of Yeasts Associated with Traditional Egyptian Dairy Products

This study aimed to examine the diversity and ecology of yeasts associated with traditional Egyptian dairy products employing molecular techniques in yeast identification. A total of 120 samples of fresh and stored Domiati cheese, kariesh cheese, and "Matared" cream were collected from local markets and examined. Forty yeast isolates were cultured from these samples and identified using the restriction-fragment length polymorphism (RFLPs) of 5.8S-ITS rDNA region and sequencing of the domains D1 and D2 of the 26S rRNA gene. Electrochemical Characterization of Coinage Techniques the 17(th) Century: The maravedis Case

[EN] The voltammetry of immobilized particles (VIMP) methodology was applied to the discrimination of Spanish maravedis produced in 10 different mints between 1661 and 1664 using characteristic signatures for the reduction of cuprite and tenorite in the patina of the coins and catalytic effects on the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER).
