Review of Knowledge Management Models for Implementation within Advanced Product Quality Planning

The purpose of this paper is to review different Knowledge Management Models (KMM) based on their strengths and weaknesses and to ascertain their possible implementation within the scope of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) procedure. The KMM listed are selected based on an extensive literature review. They are presented in a visual manner and analyzed based on their structure and features, versus a predetermined set of criteria. This study offers an overview and a critical discussion of the merits and faults of a number KMM and suggests possible improvement avenues.

Publisher Summary This chapter discusses grid technology and some related problem. The overview of grids, in terms of application fields and needed protocols is given. The common feature of all grid architectures is a coordinated and controlled resource sharing between the members of a dynamic multi-institutional virtual community. The members of such a community agree on which resources will be shared and which members of the community will be enabled to access these resources, thus defining a set of sharing rules and permissions. Detection of Anomalous HTTP Requests Based on Advanced N-gram Model and Clustering Techniques

Nowadays HTTP servers and applications are some of the most popular targets for network attacks. In this research, we consider an algorithm for HTTP intrusions detection based on simple clustering algorithms and advanced processing of HTTP requests which allows the analysis of all queries at once and does not separate them by resource. The method proposed allows detection of HTTP intrusions in case of continuously updated web-applications and does not require a set of HTTP requests free of attacks to build the normal user behaviour model. A Case of Cooperative Sound Design

In this design case study, protocol and linkographic analysis are applied to a task of cooperative vocal sketching, proposed in the scope of educational research activities. The understanding of the cognitive behaviors involved in sound creation is aimed at setting the ground for the development of rigorous, designerly evaluation practices tailored to sound design, all the way to the final interactive product. Relevant qualitative and quantitative information about the creative process informs the assessment and possibly improvement of sound design methods.

Abstract Historical images are essential documents of the recent past. Nevertheless, time and bad preservation corrupt their physical supports. Digitization can be the solution to extend their “lives”, and digital techniques can be used to recover lost information. This task is often difficult and time-consuming, if commercial restoration tools are used for the purpose. A new solution is proposed to help non-expert users in restoring their damaged photos.
