Abstract International competitiveness generate a number of challenges because creates profitability for companies, welfare for citizens, sustainable prosperity for the economy as long as it is perceived as a constructive concept. The aim of present paper is to identify the international competitiveness of Romania by analyze the competitive advantage and disadvantage according to Porter‘s Diamond, on one hand, and by calculate revealed comparative advantage according to Balasa, on the other hand. The results show that Romanian has more competitive disadvantage than competitive advantage, even if by comparison with European Union, Romania has some revealed comparative advantage.

However, Brexit has activated a reputation crisis that reinforces Euroscepticism (Borzel; Risse, 2018). Narrating well-being in the context of precarious prosperity: An account of agency framed by culturally embedded happiness and gender beliefs

This article sets out to critically examine the accounts of well-being produced by a middle-aged Swiss woman living in precarious prosperity. By taking on a feminist reading of the narrative on well-being, the article challenges the taken for granted assumption of the powerful agent in thriving societies. Insights from literature on happiness in nations and gender beliefs enabled addressing the woman’s capability to exert agency, while acknowledging the influence of the context in which narratives are embedded. This research analyzes the main variables that determine immigration in Europe and includes aspects related to the economy, population, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. The empirical analysis consists of two sets of data: one made up of all EU member states (EU-28) and the other containing countries that form a part of the Eurozone (EU-19), using the Generalized Method of Moments.
