Antiproton-proton annihilation at rest into two mesons
1993
Abstract Branching ratios for antiproton-proton annihilations at rest into two mesons are given. The data were obtained at LEAR by stopping antiprotons in a liquid hydrogen target. Both charged and neutral annihilation products were detected in the Crystal Barrel detector. Representative data are presented, and their bearing on the general picture of annihilation dynamics is discussed. In addition, preliminary branching ratios for two-body radiative annihilations are given.
First observation of strong OZI rule violation in πN interactions
1996
The data of the CERN WA56 experiment that triggered the fast proton produced in the $\pi^{+}p$ and $\pi^{-}p$ interactions at beam momenta 20 GeV/c and 12 GeV/c, respectively, are used to analyse the final states $ p_{f} \phi (\omega)\pi^{\pm}$. A large excess (up to two orders of magnitude) of the $\phi/\omega$ cross sections ratio over the OZI prediction is observed.
Measurement of the proton and deuteron structure functions, F2p and F2d, and of the ratio
1997
The muon-proton and muon-deuteron inclusive deep inelastic scattering cross sections were measured in the kinematic range 0.002 < x < 0.60 and 0.5 < Q(2) < 75 GeV2 at incident muon energies of 90, 120, 200 and 280 GeV. These results are based on the full data set collected by the New Muon Collaboration, including the data taken with a small angle trigger. The extracted values of the structure functions F-2(p) and F-2(d) are in good agreement with those from other experiments. The data cover a sufficient range of y to allow the determination of the ratio of the longitudinally to transversely polarised virtual photon absorption cross sections, R = sigma(L)/sigma(T), for 0.002 < x < 0.12. CHIRAL DYNAMICS IN THE π0η PHOTOPRODUCTION ON THE PROTON
2007
A theoretical model for the recently measured γp → π0ηp and related reactions is presented. These reactions are an interesting testing ground for existing γN → ππN models in an extension to SU(3). The chiral unitary schemes in which the N*(1535) and Δ*(1700) appear dynamically generated predict the dominant resonance couplings in the two-meson production processes.
Constraints to new physics models for the proton charge radius puzzle from the decayK+→μ++ν+e−+e+
2014
A possible explanation for the discrepancy between electronic and muonic hydrogen measurements of the proton charge radius are new, lepton-universality violating interactions. Several new couplings and particles have been suggested that account for this discrepancy. At present, these explanations are poorly constrained. Experiments such as the upcoming kaon decay experiment at JPARC may constrain or eliminate some explanations by sensitivity to the decay channel $K^+ \rightarrow \mu^+ +\nu + e^- + e^+$. We calculate the predicted contributions of the various explanations to this channel. The predicted signals, if present, should be large enough to be resolved in the experiment.
Structure of exotic 7He and 9He
2004
The heavy helium isotopes 7,9 He were studied via their isobaric analog states (IAS) in 7,9 Li. The IAS were populated via resonance reactions of protons with radioactive beams of 6,8 He. The isospin-conserving neutron decay of T=3/2 resonances in 7 Li and proton decay of T=5/2 resonances in 9 Li were measured. New spectroscopic information on these states were obtained, and compared with the properties of levels in 7,9 He.

Spectroscopy of proton drip line and very heavy nuclei
2010
Abstract Recent highlights from Recoil-Decay-Tagging (RDT) experiments carried out at JYFL by the JUROGAM collaboration are presented. Future perspectives are also discussed.
Mirror decay of 75Sr
2003
The β-decay of 75Sr to its mirror nucleus 75Rb was studied at the ISOLDE PSB facility at CERN by means of β-delayed γ and proton spectroscopy. The decay Q-value and β-delayed γ intensity were measured for the first time. These results, 10.60±0.22 MeV and 4.5+1.9 -0.7%, together with accurate measurements of the β-decay half-life and β-delayed proton branching ratio yielded the Gamow-Teller strength 0.35±0.05 for the mirror transition. Implications of the results on studies of deformation effects and on the path of the rapid proton capture process are discussed.
Systematics of Gamow-Teller beta decay “Southeast” of 100Sn
2010
The energy centroids and integrated strengths of Gamow-Teller transitions in the $ \beta^{+}_{}$ and electron-capture decay are analyzed for nuclei whose proton number Z and neutron number N are restricted to 44 $ \leq$ Z $ \leq$ 50 and 50 $ \leq$ N $ \leq$ 58 . The analysis is based on data measured both with high-resolution $ \gamma$ -ray spectrometry and total $ \gamma$ -ray absorption techniques. The dependence of the considered quantities on the relative neutron excess are established after taking into account the effects due to the Coulomb interaction and mean-field level occupancies. An extrapolation of this dependence to the lightest known tin isotopes is used to estimate the decay …
