Esošs pētījums studē sievietes tēlu trīs antīkajos romānos: Trojas Romānā, Fīvu Romānā un Enejas Romānā. Tie ir uzrakstīti 12.gadsimtā un skaitās ka stārpnieciskais etaps starp episku dziesmu un kurtuāzu romānu, kur sieviešķu varoņu klātbūtne spēlē svarīgu lomu. Esoša pētījuma mērķis ir sieviešu varoņu semantiska studēšana lai rekonstruētu sievietes prototipisku tēlu literatūrā. Mēs pielietojam izotopijas pieeju lai identificētu korpusa vienības, kas atbilst mūsu pētījuma problemātikai. Pēc tām mēs pakļaujam tās vienības smantiskajai analīzei un pielietojam prototīpa teoriju. This paper presents an experimental study aimed at testing the real energy performance of a thermo-plaster prototype made of an ordinary mortar boosted by various percentages of spent coffee ground. That is one of the wastes of the brewing process that are usually disposed of in landfill with great concerns for the possible environmental footprint due to its organic nature and possible harmful components. In this paper, the mortar was manufactured froman ordinary Portland cement and sand, partially substituted by the waste. Creating Digital Musical Instruments With and for Children: Including Vocal Sketching as a Method for Engaging in Codesign

International audience; A class of master of science students and a group of preschool children codesigned new digital musical instruments based on workshop interviews involving vocal sketching, a method for imitating and portraying sounds. The aim of the study was to explore how the students and children would approach vocal sketching as one of several design methods. The children described musical instruments to the students using vocal sketching and other modalities (verbal, drawing, gestures). The use of sea waves for generation of electrical energy: a linear tubular asynchronous electrical generator

A linear tubular asynchronous generator to be used as generator driven by seawave is presented. The design criteria of a TLIM with hollowed iron induced part as well as the technological processes to be adopted and the materials utilized in the various parts are described. The methodologies for mechanical assembling and electric wiring are considered too. Finally, the prototype with bimetallic induced part that has been designed and built is presented and some experimental results on electrical and mechanical variables are shown.

Le modèle "parcelle virtuelle" FLORSYS évalue des systèmes de culture combinant de nombreuses pratiques culturales mais est trop complexe à utiliser. Subband image coding using filter banks with non-uniform passband distribution
2002
Subband filter banks with non-uniform passband distribution in frequency domain are studied. Several design examples are presented and compared with conventional uniform bandwidth filter banks. Image coding results show that filter banks with non-uniform bandwidth outperform filter banks with uniform bandwidth, especially in low bit rate coding.

Computer graphics applications require efficient tools to model geometric objects. The traditional approach based on compute-intensive matrix calculations is error-prone due to a lack of integration between geometric reasoning and matrix-based algorithms. Clifford algebra offers a solution to these issues since it permits specification of geometry at a coordinate-free level. The best way to exploit the symbolic computing power of geometric (Clifford) algebra is supporting its data types and operators directly in hardware.
