How should we conceive a future city that is capable of avoiding the mistakes of the present? In order to redraw our urban spaces we have been looking for neighbourhood identity areas in Palermo, so that they can link the past to the future, development to conservation. The neighbourhood becomes the common ground between the private sphere (the house) and the public sphere (the city), and allows the citizens to embrace the active sphere of politics. This paper aims at identifying a way to overcome the administrative scheme which has so far been used: neighbourhoods urge citizens from the 21th century to rediscover society, conceived as the connecting ground between each other.

Dalla nascita della museologia moderna il museo è mutato progressivamente, seguendo le esigenze dei tempi con cui si è confrontato. E se l'arte storicamente prefigura mondi, ciò che avvenne a ridosso degli anni Sessanta con la progressiva fuoriscita dell'arte nello spazio pubblico, anticipa la crescente vocazione partecipativa e inclusiva che pare caratterizzare la tensione trasformativa del museo d'oggi. Un luogo che da spazio conservativo ed espositivo si va trasformando - in alcune significative esperienze - in uno spazio critico, luogo della creazione e dell'innovazione civica.

The essay intends retrace the development of the relationship between secular reason and religious language in Habermas's thought. To this end, the essay focuses on the theory of translation, and on complementary learning. The first part will provide a comparison between the conception of modernity and the progressive promotion – on both a cognitive and normative level – of the religious sense. The second part advances an interpretation of the public sphere conceived as a secular space for the cooperation between reason and religion. Lastly, the article highlights the problematic excess of the religious sense by considering the rationalization of its semantic contents.
