Prior to starting up the University of Valencia's (UV) institutional repository, we assessed this institution's real output of periodical publications and drew up the most comprehensive list possible. We also described the visibility of the contents on the Internet. -- Method. We searched the ISSN database and the UV's library catalogue for journals in which the UV is included in the statement of responsibility. -- Results. These two sources did not provide sufficient information, as the University was not listed in all the relevant journals as a publishing entity. Open availability of articles and raw research data in spanish pediatrics journals

[EN]: Introduction: The open Access to publications and the raw data allows its re-use and enhances the advancement of science. The aim of this paper is to identify these practices in Spanish pediatrics journals. Method: We reviewed the author's instructions in 13 Spanish pediatrics journals, identifyingtheir open access and deposit policy. Results: Eight journals allow open access without restriction, and 5 provide information on theability to re-use and depositing data in repositories or websites. Conclusions: Most of the journals have open access, but do not promote the deposit of additionalmaterial or articles in repositories or websites.

Se explica cómo se produjo la transición del mundo impreso al electrónico en el diseño y concepción de las revistas; y se señala exactamente cuando se produjo el despegue de este tipo de publicaciones. This study carries out a bibliometric evaluation through methodological quality indicators of the scientific production published during the triennium of 2014 to 2016 in the seven Spanish journals of education indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR): Revista de Psicodidáctica; Comunicar; Revista de Educación; Educación XX1; Enseñanza de las Ciencias, Revista Española de Pedagogía; y Porta Linguarum.
