The pooling of resources can be used by companies to reduce costs or facilitate their access to a market when they are small. Among the resources that can be pooled are logistics resources. They can take the form of platforms, warehouses, information systems or even relate to means of transport. The state of the nursing science in Spain

This article is giving a historical perspective of the nursing science in Spain, comparing it with the situation of the science, and nursing science at international level. The author gave a very clear description of the state of the art, and the nursing outcome shared by Spanish authors with the rest of nursing scientific community, arriving to the conclusion that Spanish nursing is at the beginning of a process where, negative factors can be clearly identified and, potential measures to improve relatively easily nursing science can be taken in the short term.

Objective To analyze Spanish scientific productivity from 1999 through 2003 in the area of smoking research, in comparison with world and European Union research, based on data in the Science Citation Index (SCI). Material and methods This bibliometric study was carried out by searching the title field of the Science Citation Index Expanded. Abstract Introduction and objectives The Sociedad Espanola de Cardiologia (Spanish Society of Cardiology) every year awards grants to finance research in the field of cardiovascular diseases.
