Blind source separation (BSS) is a well-known signal processing tool which is used to solve practical data analysis problems in various fields of science. In BSS, we assume that the observed data consists of linear mixtures of latent variables. The mixing system and the distributions of the latent variables are unknown. The aim is to find an estimate of an unmixing matrix which then transforms the observed data back to latent sources. In this paper we present the R packages JADE and BSSasymp. New test statistics are proposed for testing whether two random vectors are independent. Gieser and Randles, as well as Taskinen, Kankainen, and Oja have introduced and discussed multivariate extensions of the quadrant test of Blomqvist. This article serves as a sequel to this work and presents new multivariate extensions of Kendall's tau and Spearman's rho statistics. Two different approaches are discussed. First, interdirection proportions are used to estimate the cosines of angles between centered observation vectors and between differences of observation vectors. Scatter matrices generalize the covariance matrix and are useful in many multivariate data analysis methods, including well-known principal component analysis (PCA), which is based on the diagonalization of the covariance matrix. The simultaneous diagonalization of two or more scatter matrices goes beyond PCA and is used more and more often. Akomodācijas atbildes līknes slīpuma koeficienta novērtēšana miopijas gadījumā

Darbs uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 37 lappusēm. Tas satur 16 attēlus, 6 pielikumus un 70 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis: novērtēt, kā miopijas pakāpe ietekmē akomodācijas atbildes līknes slīpuma koeficientu. Eksperimenta dalībnieki: 10 miopi ar refraktīvo kļūdu no -1.0D līdz -5.0D vecumā no 19 līdz 25 gadiem. Metode: ar 2 izveidotām optiskām shēmām tika mērīts acs akomodācijas atbildes līknes slīpuma koeficients, izmantojot tīklenes atstarošanās refleksa metodi. Rezultāti tika salīdzināti metožu starpā, ar ideālo akomodācijas atbildes līkni, kā arī ar retinoskopiju, lai noteiktu metodes pielietojumu ikdienā. Lajin ominaispiirteet. Ampumahiihdossa kilpaillaan luistelutekniikalla, jonka alalajit kuokka, wassberg ja mogren eroavat keskenään erityisesti työntöjen ja potkujen ajoituksesta sekä suksikulmasta. Ampumahiihtokilpailussa syke on kilpailumuodosta riippumatta keskimäärin yli 90 % maksimisykkeestä. Ammuntaan tullessaan kilpailijat laskevat hieman intensiteettiä, mutta tämä tapahtuu myöhemmin kuin esimerkiksi 20 vuotta sitten. Ampumahiihdon lajit. Ampumahiihdossa yhdistyy luisteluhiihto ja pienoiskivääriammunta. Kilpailuissa miehet kilpailevat 20 km normaalikilpailussa, 15 km yhteislähtökilpailussa, 10 km pikakilpailussa, 12.5 km takaa-ajokilpailussa ja 4 x 7.5 km viestikilpailussa. Ampumaosuuksia on matkasta riippuen neljä tai kaksi, puolet makuuasennosta ja puolet pystyasennosta. Independent component analysis (ICA) on group-level voxel-based morphometry (VBM) produces the coefficient matrix and the component matrix. The former contains variability among multiple subjects for further statistical analysis, and the latter reveals spatial maps common for all subjects. ICA algorithms converge to local optimization points in practice and the mostly applied stability investigation approach examines the stability of the extracted components. Šajā darbā tiek apskatīts biomasas termiskās sadalīšanas matemātiskais modelis. Biomasa tiek apskatīta kā poraina vide. Biomasa termiski sadalās pēc Arēniusa likuma. Biomasai sadaloties izdalās gāze. Gāze reaģē ar skābekli temperatūras ietekmē pēc Arēniusa likuma, radot siltumu. Siltumu, gāzes un skābekļa koncentrācijas apraksta ar reakcijas-difūzijas-konvekcijas diferenciālvienādojumiem. Uz gāzveida vielām darbojas Darsī likums ātrumam un masas balansa vienādojums. Modelim skaitliski atrisināts izmantojot galīgo tilpuma metodi, upwind metodi un galīgo diferenču shēmu. Skaitliskās simulācijas izstrādātas datorprogrammā MatLab.
