This report gives an overview of the Con3Post project1 research that analyses a new and understudied phenomenon of posting third country nationals (TCNs) in the European construction sector, with a special focus on the posting flow involving workers from Ukraine being posted to Finland and Estonia through Poland. The research highlights severe regulatory challenges related to the phenomenon. These include posted TCNs being exposed to multiple vulnerabilities that are even more extreme than intra-European Union (EU) posted workers are usually exposed to. Performing transnational family with the affordances of mobile apps : a case study of Polish mothers living in Finland

Affordances provided by digital technologies and mobile apps (WhatsApp, Skype, Messenger) help in maintaining familyhood. These mobile apps enable the creation of in-app family groups. They also afford image sharing, which is used for phatic purposes. Digital connectivity provides the illusions of togetherness and belonging, and allows for performing family in a transnational context (emotional transnationalism). Tarkastelen maisterintutkielmassani kulttuurien välisten erojen vaikutusta suomen kielen opettamiseen ja oppimiseen. Lähtökohtana tämän aiheen valintaan ovat omat kokemukseni opiskeluajasta Varsovan yliopistossa, jossa opiskelin suomen kieltä. Puolassa työskentelevien suomalaisten lehtoreiden esimerkin avulla tutkin vieraassa kulttuurisessa ympäristössä opettavien ulkomaalaisten opettajien tilannetta. Tutkielmassani keskityn Suomesta ulkomaille lähteviin suomen kielen lehtoreihin ja heidän työhönsä.
