Abstract Peers become increasingly important socializing agents for academic behaviors and attitudes during adolescence. This study investigated peer influence and selection effects on adolescents' emotional (i.e., flow in schoolwork, school burnout, school value), cognitive (i.e., school effort), and behavioral (i.e., truancy) engagement in school. AbstractAdvising and mentoring Ph.D. students is an increasingly important aspect of the academic profession. We define and interpret a family of metrics (collectively referred to as “a-indices”) that can potentially be applied to “ranking academic advisors” using the academic genealogical records of scientists, with the emphasis on taking into account not only the number of students advised by an individual, but also subsequent academic advising records of those students. La experiencia docente que describimos en este artículo propone la adquisición y desarrollo de destrezas interpretativas a través de cuatro sesiones teórico-prácticas sobre interpretación en los servicios públicos (ISP). Su particularidad reside en integrar a un profesional del ámbito médico-sanitario en el proceso de aprendizaje, que se perfecciona mediante role plays en el aula.
