TGD Inspired Model for Freezing in Nano Scales

Freezing is a phase transition, which challenges the existing view of condensed matter in nanoscales. In the TGD framework, quantum coherence is possible in all scales and gravitational quantum coherence should characterize hydrodynamics in astrophysical and even shorter scales. The hydrodynamics at the surface of the planet such as Earth the mass of the planet and even that of the Sun should characterize gravitational Planck constant $h_{gr}$ assignable to gravitational flux tubes mediating gravitational interactions. In this framework, quantum criticality involving $h_{eff}=nh_0>h$ phases of ordinary matter located at the magnetic body (MB) and possibly controlling ordinary matter, could …

Physics and Religion in the Crossroads of Paradigms

The change of paradigms in physics and Christianity during historical periods up to the nowadays postmodernism situation is shortly discussed. The search for new physics paradigms in the direction of unification of general relativity theory with quantum theory is analyzed as well as the present status of this search in the context of postmodernism tendencies in Christianity.

Explanation of Qualia and Self-Awareness Using Elastic Membrane Concept

2017

In this work we show that our self-awareness and perception may be successfully explained using two dimensional holistic structures with closed topology embedded into our brains - elastic membranes. These membranes are able to preserve their structure during conscious processes. Their elastic oscillations may be associated with our perceptions, where the frequency of the oscillations is responsible for the perception of different colors, sounds and other stimuli, while the amplitude of the oscillations is responsible for the feeling of a distance. According to the model the squeezed regions of a membrane correspond to the brain zones involved into awareness and attention. The model may be u…

Homology of ”world of classical worlds” in relation to Floer homology and quantum homology

2022

One of the mathematical challenges of TGD is the construction of the homology of "world of classical worlds" (WCW). The generalization of Floer homology looks rather obvious in the zero ontology (ZEO) based view about quantum TGD. ZEO, the notion of preferred extremal (PE), and the intuitive connection between the failure of strict non-determinism and criticality are essential elements. The homology group is defined in terms of the free group formed by preferred extremals $PE(X^3,Y^3)$ for which $X^3$ is a stable maximum of K\"ahler function $K$ associated with the passive boundary of CD and $Y^3$ associated with the passive boundary is a more general critical point. The identification of P…

Finite fields and TGD

TGD involves geometric and number theoretic physics as complementary views of physics. Almost all basic number fields: rationals and their algebraic extensions, p-adic number fields and their extensions, reals, complex number fields, quaternions, and octonions play a fundamental role in the number theoretical vision of TGD. Even a hierarchy of infinite primes and corresponding number fields appears. At the first level of the hierarchy of infinite primes, the integer coefficients of a polynomial $Q$ defining infinite prime have no common prime factors. $P=Q$ hypothesis states that the polynomial $P$ defining space-time surface is identical with a polynomial $Q$ defining infinite prime at the…

Quantum Gravitation and Topological Quantum Computation

In this article the connection of quantum gravitation, as it is understood in the TGD framework, with topological quantum computation (TQC) is considered. I sketched the first TGD based vision about DNA as a TQCer for about 13 years ago. In particular, a model of the system consisting of DNA and nuclear/cell membrane system acting as a TQCer was discussed. TGD has evolved a lot after this and there are several motivations for seeing what comes out from combining the recent view about quantum TGD and TGD inspired quantum biology with this model. \begin{enumerate} \item There is a rather detailed view about the role of dark matter as phases of ordinary matter with the effective Planck constan…

A New Wave Quantum Relativistic Equation from Quaternionic Representation of Maxwell-Dirac Isomorphism as an Alternative to Barut-Dirac Equation

2006

It is known that Barut's equation could predict lepton and hadron mass with remarkable precision. Recently some authors have extended this equation, resulting in Barut-Dirac equation. In the present article we argue that it is possible to derive a new wave equation as alternative to Barut-Dirac's equation from the known exact correspondence (isomorphism) between Dirac equation and Maxwell electromagnetic equations via biquaternionic representation. Furthermore, in the present note we submit the viewpoint that it would be more conceivable if we interpret the vierbein of this equation in terms of superfluid velocity, which in turn brings us to the notion of topological electronic liquid. Some…

This Time – What a Strange Turn of Events!

2010

In relativity time is bound to space by the symmetries of spacetime. In the general theory the symmetry is covariance under diffeomorphisms but in string theory this extends to the full permutation group acting on spacetime events. This huge symmetry has profound implications for the nature of time, causality and the way we see our place in the universe.

The Double Rotation as Invariant of Motion in Quantum Mechanics

2010

Quantum mechanics may loose its weirdness if systematically geometric algebra methods would be used more and more. Crucial aspect is to find laws of quantum mechanics be present in macroworld in form of description of motions rather than objects. To help to reach this goal we suggest to use double rotation as one of base invariants in quantum mechanics.
