Kl3Semileptonic Form Factor from (2+1)-Flavor Lattice QCD

We present the first results for the ${K}_{l3}$ form factor from simulations with $2+1$ flavors of dynamical domain wall quarks. Combining our result, namely, ${f}_{+}(0)=0.964(5)$ with the latest experimental results for ${K}_{l3}$ decays leads to $|{V}_{us}|=0.2249(14)$, reducing the uncertaintity in this important parameter. For the $O({p}^{6})$ term in the chiral expansion we obtain $\ensuremath{\Delta}f=\ensuremath{-}0.013(5)$.

Quark and gluon form factors to four-loop order in QCD: TheNf3contributions

We calculate the four-loop massless QCD corrections with three closed quark lines to quark and gluon form factors. We apply a novel integration by parts algorithm based on modular arithmetic and compute all relevant master integrals for arbitrary values of the space-time dimension. This is the first calculation of a gluon form factor at this perturbative order in QCD.

Charmonium dissociation and heavy quark transport in hot quenched lattice QCD

We study the properties of charmonium states at finite temperature in quenched lattice QCD on large and fine isotropic lattices. We perform a detailed analysis of charmonium correlation and spectral functions both below and above Tc. Our analysis suggests that the S wave states disappear at about 1.5 Tc. The charm diffusion coefficient is estimated and found to be approximately 1/{\pi}T at 1.5Tc {\leq} T {\leq} 3Tc.

Consistency between SU(3) and SU(2) covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory for the nucleon mass

Abstract Treating the strange quark mass as a heavy scale compared to the light quark mass, we perform a matching of the nucleon mass in the SU(3) sector to the two-flavor case in covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory. The validity of the 19 low-energy constants appearing in the octet baryon masses up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order [1] is supported by comparing the effective parameters (the combinations of the 19 couplings) with the corresponding low-energy constants in the SU(2) sector [2] . Finite Volume Scaling of Pseudo Nambu-Goldstone Bosons in QCD

We consider chiral perturbation theory in a finite volume and in a mixed regime of quark masses. We take N_l light quarks near the chiral limit, in the so-called epsilon-regime, while the remaining N_h quarks are heavier and in the standard p-regime. We compute in this new mixed regime the finite-size scaling of the light meson correlators in the scalar, pseudoscalar, vector and axial vector channels.Using the replica method, we easily extend our results to the partially quenched theory. πB8B8andσB8B8couplings from a chiral quark potential model

From an SU(2)$\ensuremath{\bigotimes}$SU(2) chiral quark potential model incorporating spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking the asymptotic $\ensuremath{\pi}$ and $\ensuremath{\sigma}$ exchange pieces of the $\mathit{NN}$ potential are generated. From them the $\ensuremath{\pi}\mathit{NN}$ and $\ensuremath{\sigma}\mathit{NN}$ coupling constants can be extracted. The generalization to SU(3)$\ensuremath{\bigotimes}$SU(3) allows for a determination of $\ensuremath{\pi}{B}_{8}{B}_{8}$ and $\ensuremath{\sigma}{B}_{8}{B}_{8}$ coupling constants according to exact SU(3) hadron symmetry. Determination of m¯b/m¯c and m¯b from nf=4 lattice QCD+QED

We extend HPQCD's earlier ${n}_{f}=2+1+1$ lattice-QCD analysis of the ratio of $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ masses of the $b$ and $c$ quark to include results from finer lattices (down to 0.03 fm) and a new calculation of QED contributions to the mass ratio. We find that ${\overline{m}}_{b}(\ensuremath{\mu})/{\overline{m}}_{c}(\ensuremath{\mu})=4.586(12)$ at renormalization scale $\ensuremath{\mu}=3\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}$. This result is nonperturbative. Combining it with HPQCD's recent lattice $\mathrm{QCD}+\mathrm{QED}$ determination of ${\overline{m}}_{c}(3\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV})$ gives a new value for the $b$-quark mass: ${\overline{m}}_{b}(3\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV})=4.513(2…

Lattice calculation of the pion transition form factor with Nf=2+1 Wilson quarks

We present a lattice QCD calculation of the double-virtual neutral pion transition form factor, with the goal to cover the kinematic range relevant to hadronic light-by-light scattering in the muon $g\ensuremath{-}2$. Several improvements have been made compared to our previous work. First, we take into account the effects of the strange quark by using the ${N}_{f}=2+1$ coordinated lattice simulation gauge ensembles. Second, we have implemented the on-shell $\mathcal{O}(a)$ improvement of the vector current to reduce the discretization effects associated with Wilson quarks.
