International audience; The reactivity of various polyamines with diethyloxalate has been investigated. It appears that, in similar experimental conditions, primary diamines give predominantly [2+2] adducts while the use of secondary benzylated polyamines results in [1+1] condensation. Although the intermediate tetraamides formed in the first case are extremely poorly soluble and show very slow reactivity towards reducing agents, cyclam has been obtained by using ultrasounds during the reaction of the corresponding tetraoxomacrocycle with BH 3 /THF. Sixth graders’ selection and integration when writing from multiple online texts

AbstractThis study examined students’ ability to select relevant ideas from multiple online texts and integrate those ideas in their written products. Students (N = 162) used a web-based platform to complete an online inquiry task in which they read three texts presenting different perspectives on computer gaming and wrote an article for a school magazine on the issue based on these texts. Students selected two snippets from each text during reading and wrote their article with the selected snippets available. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin opiskelijaryhmän työskentelyä estäviä puolia silloin, kun ryhmä toimii itsenäisesti ilman kouluttajia. Huomion kohteena olivat erityisesti työskentelyn piilevät ja tiedostamattomat puolet. Tutkimuskohteena oli Jyväskylän yliopiston 13-henkinen opiskelijaryhmä, joka opiskeli toista opintovuottaan integraatiokoulutuksessa. Aineisto kerättiin havainnoimalla pääasiassa ryhmän itsenäisiä tapaamisia lukuvuonna 2010-2011 sekä teettämällä opiskelijoilla kirjoitelmia lukuvuoden kuluessa. Kandidaatintutkielma kuvaa sävellysprosessia luovan ongelmanratkaisun näkökulmasta ja peilaa sitä tekijän omiin havaintoihin omasta sävellysprosessistaan. Tutkielma pohjaa pitkälle Yrjö Heinosen (1995) sävellyksen prosessimalliin, ja siinä pohditaan säveltämistä tekijän näkökulmasta myös yleisellä tasolla. Kiinnostuin aiheesta itse, koska olen ammattisäveltäjä, ja tahtoisin tällä tavalla valottaa säveltämisen käytäntöjä ja pohtia sen merkitystä työn tekemisenä. Tämä tutkimus toimii pohjana Pro Gradu –tutkielmalleni, jossa aion tehdä tapaustutkimuksen omasta sävellysprosessistani.
LOCAL CONTROL OF SOUND IN STOCHASTIC DOMAINS BASED ON FINITE ELEMENT MODELS

A numerical method for optimizing the local control of sound in a stochastic domain is developed. A three-dimensional enclosed acoustic space, for example, a cabin with acoustic actuators in given locations is modeled using the finite element method in the frequency domain. The optimal local noise control signals minimizing the least square of the pressure field in the silent region are given by the solution of a quadratic optimization problem. The developed method computes a robust local noise control in the presence of randomly varying parameters such as variations in the acoustic space.
