The cultivars of cool season Graminae species diffusely used to establish turfgrasses, are grown in northern areas of Europe. The aim of the research described in this paper was to identify the turfgrass species and cultivars most suitable for the Mediterranean environment. The trial was carried out in 1999 and 2000 at the experimental farm “Parco d’Orleans” belonging to the Department A.C.E.P. of University of Palermo. Enhancing the European Cyber Threat Prevention Mechanism

This research will determine how it is possible to implement the national cyber threat prevention system into the EU level Early Warning System. Decision makers have recognized that the lack of cooperation between EU member countries affects public safety at the international level. Separate operational functions and procedures between national cyber situation centers create challenges. One main problem is that the European Union does not have a common cyber ecosystem concerning intrusion detection systems for cyber threats. Also, privacy and citizens’ security as topics are set against each other. The research will comprise a new database for the ECHO Early Warning System concept.

Jaunu oglekļa zvaigžņu monitorings Piena ceļa galaktikā

Tika pētītas jaunatklātās oglekļa zvaigznes. Zvaigžņu spektrālie uzņēmumi tika iegūti Latvijas Universitātes Astronomijas Institūta Baldones Astrofizikas observatorijā ar Šmita teleskopa (80/120/240) divām CCD matricām. Pētījumā izmantotie attēli tika iegūti 2018. gada maijā no Cefeja zvaigznāja ar 320 sekunžu ekspozīciju. Tika noteiktas jaunatklāto C zvaigžņu koordinātas un krāsu indeksi J-K, balstoties uz 2MASS katalogu. Tika apskatīti 74 uzņēmumi ar vidēji 100 zvaigžņu spektriem katrā, no tiem izdalītas un analizētas 81 oglekļa zvaigznes, no kurām 10 var uzskatīt par jaunatklātām.
