Idioms and fictional orality in Toni Cucarella’s narrative

En aquest article s’estudien les unitats fraseològiques en quatre obres de Toni Cucarella en relació amb l’oralitat ficcional. La tradició d’estudis sobre l’oralitat ficcional analitza els recursos que evoquen l’oralitat en textos escrits o audiovisuals. Entre aquests recursos, en els darrers anys s’ha destacat la importància de certes unitats fraseològiques que són pròpies de la llengua oral i, en aparéixer en textos escrits, evoquen la llengua oral, com un mitjà per caracteritzar de manera versemblant els personatges. Several recent discoveries, notably from cognitive neuroscience, have had repercussions in the humanities and more particularly in the linguistics’ field. They have given rise to a renewed interest in the theme of phonological iconicity, which tackles the entirety of phenomena of similarity between signifier and signified inside a language. A multitude of studies then emerged, attesting to the existence of phonosymbolic phenomena in the languages of the world. Growth and field crystallization of anodic films on Ta–Nb alloys

The growth behavior of amorphous anodic films on Ta–Nb solid solution alloys has been investigated over a wide composition range at a constant current density of 50 Am−2 in 0.1 mol dm−3 ammonium pentaborate electrolyte. The anodic films consist of two layers, comprising a thin outer Nb2O5 layer and an inner layer consisting of units of Ta2O5 and Nb2O5. The outer Nb2O5 layer is formed as a consequence of the faster outward migration of Nb5+ ions, compared with Ta5+ ions, during film growth under the high electric field. Palermo suburbs have grown and developed at the expense of becoming isolated from other parts of the city. Ancient boroughs have been eradicated, alongside their urban identities. The challenges of a cosmopolitan and global world are felt even in middle-sized, fringe cities like Palermo, as its suburbs are forced to become tiles of an urban mosaic that is created by urban development.
