Negli Usa, l’operato delle Spac ha permesso a più di 900 aziende statunitensi di quotarsi in Borsa. Fra le Spac americane che hanno registrato le migliori performance, sono degne di nota la Diamond Eagle Acquisition corp. e la Live Oak Acquisition corp. che da poco hanno concluso fusioni rispettivamente con le società DraftKings e Danimer scientific. A seguito di tali operazioni, la DraftKings si è imposta come leader nel settore emergente delle scommesse sulle esibizioni sportive virtuali. La Danimer Scientific rappresenta, invece, una realtà di successo nel campo della produzione di bio-plastiche. In entrambi i casi, i corsi azionari sono più che triplicati in pochi mesi.

In the winter of 2001-2002, an emergency excavation uncovered another suburban sanctuary in the periphery of ancient Gela (Piazza Gorizia). During the excavations remains of a sacellum and a votive depot datable at the end of 5th century BC were found.

El presente trabajo aborda el estudio de las imágenes de los ángeles militares en los virreinatos americanos y su interpretación a partir de la función cultural de las imágenes. Para ello se analizan las distintas tipologías visuales del arcángel san Miguel en el virreinato de Nueva España y su uso regiopolítico, la definición beligerante del resto de ángeles en la tradición teológica y la imagen de los conocidos como arcángeles arcabuceros. Identifica la tradición bélica del lenguaje posterior al concilio de Trento y, en el caso de los arcángeles arcabuceros, defiende su vinculación con la fiesta barroca. The economic impact of audit failures

This paper examines the economic consequences associated with an audit failure in the field of statutory auditing services, by analyzing changes in the audit firm’s market share around the time of the investigation process undertaken by the Spanish Public Oversight Board. We explore the variations in audit market share by applying the difference in differences method to a treatment group of 70 sanctioned audit firms and a matched control group of 70 non-sanctioned audit firms. The period of analysis covers the years from 1999 to 2015. Our results show that the sanctioned audit firms suffered a significant decrease in their relative number of clients.
