Per promuovere un atteggiamento scientifico negli insegnanti, i ricercatori che usano un metodo empirico in campo educativo, devono autocontrollarsi affinché, consapevolmente o no, alcuni atteggiamenti personali non inficino la validità dei risultati ottenuti. To promote a scientific attitude in teachers, researchers who use an empirical method in the educational field, they have to self-control so that, knowingly or not, some personal attitudes do not affect validity of the results achieved.

Este trabajo estudia las iniciativas de las filiales venezolanas de empresas multinacionales y los mercados a los que se enfocan, entendiendo por iniciativa todo aquel proceso emprendedor que identifica una oportunidad y logra el compromiso de recursos orientado a la consecución de esa oportunidad. Para ello se utiliza una metodología cualitativa a través de estudios de casos y se valoran las clasificaciones de iniciativas de filiales según sus objetivos y el enfoque de mercado, aplicándolas en filiales establecidas en Venezuela. Antecedentes: La encefalopatía hipóxico-isquémica (EHI) perinatal constituye una de de las principales causas de muerte o discapacidad a largo plazo en recién nacidos a término en el mundo occidental, afectando a aproximadamente 1-4 por cada 1000 nacidos vivos y, en consecuencia, a alrededor de 5000-20000 recién nacidos por año en Europa. La hipotermia terapéutica se ha convertido en el tratamiento estándar de la EHI moderada o grave, siendo una terapia segura y eficaz para mejorar el desarrollo neurológico tras un insulto hipóxico-isquémico perinatal. The objective of our work was to measure plasma melatonin levels in patients with Parkinson's Disease (PD) following electrical stimulation of the internal globus pallidus (GPi), and to compare these levels with groups of PD patients under drug therapy and healthy controls. The levels of melatonin were measured twice daily at 1000 and 1200. The GPi stimulation at 130 Hz lowered melatonin levels, while no changes were observed in the absence of stimulation. The melatonin levels from healthy subjects were lower than those observed in PD patients. An ability to predict forthcoming changes in environmental conditions and get prepared for them in advance is crucial for the survival and reproduction of organisms living in a seasonally changing environment. Aphids are paradigmatic photoperiodic animals often used to study the role of the circadian clock in the seasonal response. Previously, we described some elements of the circadian clock core (genes period and timeless) and output (melatonin, AANATs and PTTH) that could have a role in the regulation of the aphid seasonal response. Insect species with a wide distribution offer a great opportunity to trace latitudinal variation in the photoperiodic regulation of traits important in reproduction and stress tolerances. We measured this variation in the photoperiodic time-measuring system underlying reproductive diapause in Drosophila montana, using a Nanda-Hamner (NH) protocol. None of the study strains showed diel rhythmicity in female diapause proportions under a constant day length (12 h) and varying night lengths in photoperiods ranging from 16 to 84 h at 16°C. ABSTRACT The effects of microelectrophoretic application of melatonin, noradrenaline, acetylcholine, thyroxine, testosterone and oestrone on pineal cell electrical activity were evaluated. With the exception of acetylcholine and oestrone pineal cells showed a circadian rhythm in sensitivity to the application of the substances. It is apparent from these studies, that (1) transmitters and hormones can bring about direct changes in the firing frequency of pineal cells, (2) all pineal cells do not respond to these substances in the same way and (3) that melatonin either produced in the pineal organ or reaching the gland via the general circulation may be capable of directly influencing the cel…
