Seizure Prediction Using EEG Channel Selection Method

Seizure prediction using intracranial electroencephalogram (iEEG) is still challenging because of complicated signals in spatial and time domains. Feature selection in the spatial domain (i.e., channel selection) has been largely ignored in this field. Onion (Allium cepa L.) is an important bulb crop grown worldwide. Dormancy in bulbous plants is an important physiological state mainly regulated by a complex gene network that determines a stop of vegetative growth during unfavorable seasons. Limited knowledge on the molecular mechanisms that regulate dormancy in onion were available until now. Sixth graders evaluating online texts : self-efficacy beliefs predict confirming but not questioning the credibility

This study investigated how sixth graders’ credibility evaluation self-efficacy was associated with their ability to evaluate the credibility of online texts. Students (N = 265, Mage = 12.45) worked in a web-based environment, where they read and evaluated two more credible texts and two less credible texts that required confirming and questioning the texts’ credibility, respectively. The environmental impact of noise from roads and highways traffic is relevant in urban and rural areas. The use of open-graded asphalt pavements reduces significantly the noise, entrapping the acoustic waves inside the porous structure of the material. In this paper we propose a simulation approach in order to predict the acoustic properties of the asphalt mixture from geometrical and topological indicators. Bērniem ar šķielēšanu ir ne tikai kosmētisks defekts, kuru nekoriģējot, bērns nevar attiecīgi adaptēties sociālajā vidē, jo īpaši pieaugot, bet, kas ir jo būtiskāk, bērnam ir dažādi redzes traucējumi, tādi kā ambliopija, hipermetropija u.c. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot iedzimtas šķielēšanas optimālus operācijas laikus un izanalizēt ķirurģiskās ārstēšanas rezultātus. Reciprocal Relations between Adolescents’ Self-Concepts of Ability and Achievement Emotions in Mathematics and Literacy

This longitudinal study examined cross-lagged relations of self-concepts of ability and achievement emotions (i.e., enjoyment, boredom, anxiety) in two central school subjects (i.e., mathematics and literacy). Adolescents (N = 848) reported their achievement emotions and self-concepts of ability four times during Grades 6 and 7. The pattern of results was different for mathematics and literacy subjects.
