Scientific productivity and collaboration in viticulture and enology in Latin American countries

[EN] The aim of this study was to analyze the scientific activity of Latin American researchers in viticulture and oenology through bibliometric analyses of articles included in the Science Citation Index Expanded database for the period of 2006 to 2010. A total of 917 research articles were published in 364 domestic and international journals. We highlight the important growth in the number of research papers published during the period, especially in Brazil, Argentina and Chile, as well as an increasing number of international collaborations, mainly with non-American grape- and-wine producing countries. Il saggio esamina il monumento funebre del prelato milanese Guidotto d’Abbiate che guidò l’arcidiocesi di Messina dal 1304 sino al 1333. L’Arcivescovo, che commissionò l’opera nel 1326 allo scultore senese Goro di Gregorio, si dedicò al progetto “di abbellimento” della Cattedrale della Città dello Stretto dove è custodito il monumento. A quest’ultimo manufatto potrebbe appartenere la Madonna con il Bambino, detta degli Storpi, ora custodita nel Museo Regionale Interdisciplinare di Messina. A recent and new Republican denarius restored by Trajan is studied and discussed. The issue is extremely rare as no image of it is known so far. It was found in Carcaboso, Cáceres (Conventus Emeritensis, Lusitania), very near of the road known as Vía de la Plata, very surely in a Roman mansio.

Do we have to presuppose a self to account for human self-consciousness? If so, how should we characterize the self? These questions are discussed in the context of two alternatives, i.e., the no-self position held by \(\textit {Metzinger (2003, 2009)}\) and the claim that the only self we have to presuppose is a narrative self \(\textit {(Dennett, 1992; Schechtman, 2007; Hardcastle, 2008)}\) which is primarily an abstract entity. In contrast to these theories, I argue that we have to presuppose an embodied self, although this is not a metaphysical substance, nor an entity for which stable necessary and jointly sufficient conditions can be given.
