Sava redzesloka paplašināšanai, cilvēki dodas tuvākos un tālākos ceļojumos un nereti tiek izmantotas izmitināšanas iestāžu jeb viesnīcu pakalpojumi. Projekta darba mērķis ir izveidot jaunu nakšņošanas un atpūtas vietu Cēsu rajonā, kura pēc klasifikācijas ir brīvdienu māja ar nosaukumu „Mieškas”. Galvenais iemesls, kādēļ tiks izveidota brīvdienu māja ir, lai jau strādājošs uzņēmums var paplašināt savas funkcijas un sadarbojoties ar brīvdienu mājas īpašniekiem, veidotu vietu un vidi, kur cilvēki grib atpūsties un izbaudīt lauku idilli. Environmental stress is a major driver of ecological and evolutionary processes in nature. To cope with stress, organisms can adjust through phenotypic plasticity and/or adapt through genetic change. Here, we compared short-term behavioural (activity) and physiological (corticosterone levels, CORT) responses of Rana arvalis tadpoles from two divergent populations (acid origin, AOP, versus neutral origin, NOP) to acid and predator stress. Bakalaura darbs ir sarakstīts latviešu valodā uz 30 lappusēm, satur 11 attēlus, 4 tabulas un 24 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis: izpētīt redzes asuma, refrakcijas, radzenes stāvuma un biezuma izmaiņas atkarībā no tā, kur uz radzenes atrodas keratokonusa virsotne un salīdzināt iegūtos datus. Metode: tika analizētas keratokonusa pacietu kartes, lai noskaidrotu, kā mainās redzes asums, refrakcija, radzenes stāvums un biezums atkarībā no keratokonousa virsotnes atrašanās vietas. Rezultāti: keratokonusa virsotne statistiski nozīmīgi ietekmē redzes asumu (p=0,0041), refrakciju (p=0,006) un radzenes stāvumu (p=0,00000005), taču ne radzenes biezumu (p=0,63). Preventing reverse engineering of native and managed programs

One of the important aspects of protecting software from attack, theft of algorithms, or illegal software use is eliminating the possibility of performing reverse engineering. One common method used to deal with these issues is code obfuscation. However, it is proven to be ineffective. Code encryption is a much more effective means of defying reverse engineering, but it requires managing a cryptographic key available to none but the permissible users. The thesis presents a system for managing cryptographic keys in a protected environment and supporting execution of encrypted code. The system has strong security guarantees. Vaginal infection of mice with HSV type 2 variant ER−: A new animal model for human primary genital HSV type 2 infections

Abstract Studying the pathogenesis of vaginal infections in mice with two variants of Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) strain ER we observed that both variants ER+ and ER− caused severe vaginitis but only ER+ invaded the CNS leading to lethal neurological disease. In contrast, mice infected with ER− cleared the virus from the vagina and recovered from infection. ER+ and ER− expressed equal levels of thymidine kinase (TK) indicating a TK-independent difference in neurovirulence. Using the non-neurovirulent variant ER−, we were able to investigate humoral immune responses late after infection.
