Background: Shell-model calculations crucially depend on the residual interaction used to approximate the nucleon-nucleon interaction. Recent improvements to the empirical universal sd interaction (USD) describing nuclei within the sd shell yielded two new interactions—USDA and USDB—causing changes in the theoretical description of these nuclei. Purpose: Transitionmatrix elements between excited states provide an excellent probe to examine the underlying shell structure. International audience; This paper deals with a debate between Hawtrey, Hicks and Keynes concerning the capacity of the central bank to influence the short-term and the long-term rates of interest. Both Hawtrey and Keynes considered the central bank’s ability to influence short-term rates of interest. However, they do not put the same emphasis on the study of the long-term rates of interest. According to Keynes, long-term rates are influenced by future expected short-term rates (1930, 1936), whereas for Hawtrey (1932, 1937, 1938), long-term rates are more dependent on the business cycle. Slengs ir bagātīga neliterārās leksikas daļa, kura nepārtraukti papildinās ar jaundarinājumiem. Slengs vairs nav tikai sarunvalodas daļa. Tas arvien plašāk iespiežas masu mediju valodā. Maģistra darba „Prefiksāli slenga verbi mūsdienu latviešu valodā” mērķis ir apzināt prefiksālu slenga verbu izplatību mūsdienu latviešu valodā un noskaidrot prefiksu lomu slenga nozīmju veidošanā. Lai šo mērķi sasniegtu, teorētiskās literatūras studijās aplūkoti jēdzieni argo, žargons un slengs, izveidota prefiksālu verbu datubāze, iekļaujot tajā verbu lietojuma piemērus no tīmekļa un Saeimas sēžu stenogrammu korpusa, veikta apkopoto slenga verbu vispusīga analīze.
