In his Theory of economic development and Business cycles Joseph Schumpeter explained the long and short-run importance of an economy’s credit system to the vitality of entrepreneurship. Famously, the entrepreneur is the key figure in the process of innovating the structure of an economy, according to Schumpeter, which is the secret to the long term growth record of capitalist economies. In this project we use Schumpeter’s ideas about the relationship between credit, innovation, and growth in order to evaluate the current state of this relationship in the Mediterranean region, using Sicily as a case study. Five decades of corporate entrepreneurship research: measuring and mapping the field

AbstractResearch on corporate entrepreneurship—venturing activities by established corporations—has received increasing scholarly attention. We employ bibliometric methods to analyze the literature on corporate entrepreneurship published over the last five decades. Based on the results of citation and co-citation analyses, we reveal central works in the field and how they are interconnected. We investigate the underlying intellectual structure of the field. Our findings provide evidence of the growing maturity and interdisciplinarity of corporate entrepreneurship and provide insight into research themes. The Journal of Technology Transfer (JOTT) published its first issue in 1977. Since this first issue, the JOTT has made major contributions to its field. This chapter uses dynamic bibliometric techniques and the Scopus database to analyze all JOTT issues published between 1977 and 2018. Citations are considered up to and including September 30, 2019. Since its inauguration in 1979, the Tagus-Segura Aqueduct has become one of the hydraulic infrastructures that have given rise to the highest number of inter-regional conflicts in Spain during recent decades. The aim of this paper is to analyse the political, social, environmental and economic conflicts presented in the donor (Tagus) and recipient (Segura) basins of this infrastructure. The polar regions (Arctic and Antarctic) constitute up to 14% of the biosphere and offer some of the coldest and most arid Earth's environments. Nevertheless several oxygenic phototrophs including some higher plants, mosses, lichens, various algal groups and cyanobacteria, survive that harsh climate and create the base of the trophic relationships in fragile ecosystems of polar environments. Abstract Peri-urbanisation is the expansion of compact urban areas towards low-density settlements. This phenomenon directly challenges the agricultural landscape multifunctionality, including its carbon (C) storage capacity. Using satellite data, we mapped peri-urban C stocks in soil and built-up surfaces over three areas from 1993 to 2014 in the Emilia-Romagna region, Italy: a thinly populated area around Piacenza, an intermediate-density area covering the Reggio Emilia-Modena conurbation and a densely anthropized area developing along the coast of Rimini.
