La spiritualité des officiers royaux au début du XVIe siècle : Antoine Robert, bourgeois de Paris et secrétaire du roi de Louis XI à François Ier
1977
Antoine Robert, clerk of the high judicial court in Paris during the reign of Francis 1st, was one of the oldest royal secretaries when he died in 1521, on September. He is known to have given all his personnal assets and properties to the benedictin convent of the Blancs-Manteaux in Paris. His religious behaviour can be studied through three documents relating to his will, foundation and inheritance. So Antoine Robert, rather a rich and well educated laic seems to corroborate the weight of ideas which were brought from Flanders into France by the " Frères de la vie commune " and developped during the Reformation. The biblical and ancient authors' quotations contained in his will show that …
Landscape Systems and Human Land-Use Interactions in Mediterranean Highlands and Littoral Plains during the Late Holocene: Integrated Analysis from t…
2012
The main goal of the InterAmbAr reseach project is to analyze the relationships between landscape systems and human land-use strategies on mountains and littoral plains from a long-term perspective. The study adopts a high resolution analysis of small-scale study areas located in the Mediterranean region of north-eastern Catalonia. The study areas are distributed along an altitudinal transect from the high mountain (above 2000m a.s.l.) to the littoral plain of Empordà (Fig. 1). High resolution interdisciplinary research has been carried out from 2010, based on the integration of palaeoenvironmental and archaeological data. The micro-scale approach is used to understand human-environmental r…

Human capital and RD Driven Growth: analyse for France at regional level on the long run
2012
At the root of the Lisbon goal, for Europe, is placed the awareness for advocating a close link between growth and dissemination of advanced knowledge and innovation, on the one hand, and raising in general endowments in human capital, on the other hand, as to have power over the development of non-specific skills and boost efficiency. Much work in literature also stressed the interest of the position concerning traditional activities in the geography of innovation and links, in the long term, between the spatial distribution of longestablished skills and knowledge creation. Following Jones, in this approach, for which contribution to R&D and innovation explains half of the increase in weal…
Regional mobility of the French post secondary graduate students entering the labour market
2008
With the innovations of the national statistical system, the study of the geographical mobility during the transition between school and employment is now possible. This article presents the various regional migratory situations at the end of the Nineties, and the main transformations that has occurred during the last fifteen years. Knowing better the labour migration patterns of new graduates allows us to characterize the various relations that exist between academic background and employment at the regional scale. It appears that there is not an obvious relation between the quality of the transition from school to the labour market and the various regional migratory situations.
Fractal dimension versus density of built-up surfaces in the periphery of Brussels
2007
International audience; This paper aims at showing the usefulness of the fractal dimension for characterizing the spatial structure of the built-up surfaces within the periurban fringe. We first discuss our methodology and expectations in terms of operationality of the fractal dimension theoretically and geometrically. An empirical analysis is then performed on the southern periphery of Brussels (Brabant Wallon). The empirical analysis is divided into two parts: first, the effect of the size and shape of the windows on the fractal measures is empirically evaluated; this leads to a methodological discussion about the importance of the scale of analysis as well as the real sense of fractality…
Influence of the regional landscape connectivity on the location of roe deer roadkill hotspots
2016
International audience; Linear infrastructures threaten ecosystems and have both direct and indirect effects on ecological habitats and individuals. The fragmentation effect (i.e. splitting or loss of habitat patches) and the barrier effect (i.e. fences, traffic noise avoidance, and roadkill) are widely reported. Wildlife-vehicle collisions are the most visible direct effect and can result in severe human injuries. In Europe, the roe deer population is growing and roe deer roadkills are becoming more common. Roe deer movements depend on landscape features and regional-scale connectivity. Here, we investigate the influence of the landscape network on the location of roe deer roadkill hotspot…
