Promoting Children's Wellbeing. Policies, Practices and Current Trends

Abstract Mastering emotions and developing relationship skills are considered vital in this century of change. The current study meets the need of active experimentation with new ways of building educational relationships at early ages. The chosen theme is relevant and timely for both theory and educational practice. An innovation of the relationship models that is to place an accent on children's involvement and value in the educational process is required. We appreciate that we cannot value the voice of children in their absence. A re-examination and reconstruction of adult attitudes to create a better world for children becomes the new trend.

The trail-following pheromone and sex pheromones were investigated in the Indomalayan termite Hodotermopsis sjoestedti belonging to the new family Archotermopsidae. Gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) after solid phase microextraction (SPME) of the sternal gland secretion of pseudergates and trail-following bioassays demonstrated that the trailfollowing pheromone of H. sjoestedti was syn-4,6-dimethylundecan-1-ol, a new chemical structure for termite pheromones. GC-MS after SPME of the sternal gland secretion of alates also allowed the identification of sex-specific compounds. An integrated approach physicochemistry and structures activity relationships has been carried out to study the aroma compounds retention-release phenomenon in a fat free dairy gel added with pectin. This study aimed to identify the molecular properties that govern this phenomenon assuming that modifying the structure leads automatically to a change in the retention-release of aroma compounds. Abstract Statement of problem: This study aimed to analyse the ability of a model based on achievement motivation and self-determination theories to predict adherence to competitive sport. This model incorporated commitment as predictor of adherence. A prospective study was performed with a sample of 302 handball players aged between 14 and 18 years. Structural equation modelling gave support to the model proposed. In well-being research the term happiness is often used as synonymous with life satisfaction. However, little is known about lay people's understanding of happiness. Building on the available literature, this study explored lay definitions of happiness across nations and cultural dimensions, analyzing their components and relationship with participants' demographic features. Participants were 2799 adults (age range = 30-60, 50% women) living in urban areas of Argentina, Brazil, Croatia, Hungary, India, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, and United States. In this article, it is studied the market of land lease in the Valentian rural society in the end of the Middle Age. Using notarial sources and court rolls, it is possible to know the economic function that exercised this forms of land management in the agrarian system. The penetration of urban capital through this kind of contracts was always limited. Pētījumā mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas personības iezīmes ir nozīmīgi saistītas ar apmierinātību ar pāra attiecībām daţādās pāra attiecību ilguma grupās. Pētījumā piedalījās 115 pāri (230 respondenti), 39 pāri, kas pāra attiecībās ir 2 – 6 gadus, 38 pāri, kas pāra attiecībās ir 12 – 16 gadus un 38 pāri, kas pāra attiecībās ir 22 un vairāk gadus. Twenty-six species of ants associated with aphids, belonging to twelve genera, are collected. Three subfamilies are identified, being the Formicinae the more represented about number of samples, genera and species. On the other hand, <i>Lasius niger</i> has been the species that is found with a more number of aphids (fifty eight species), and it seems to be the ant with a more capacity to establish associations with the different species of aphids. 224 different associations between the ants and the aphids are established and 164 of them are not recorded in the bibliography consulted for Spain.<br><br>Se han recogido veintiséis especies de hormigas asociadas a pulgon…
