Dampness and student-reported social climate: two multilevel mediation models.

2021

Background Little previous research has analysed the relationship between schools' indoor air problems and schools' social climate. In this study, we analysed a) whether observed mould and dampness in a school building relates to students' perceptions of school climate (i.e. teacher-student relationships and class spirit) and b) whether reported subjective indoor air quality (IAQ) at the school level mediates this relationship. Methods The data analysed was created by merging two nationwide data sets: survey data from students, including information on subjective IAQ (N = 25,101 students), and data from schools, including information on mould and dampness in school buildings (N = 222). The …

Morfina, alkohol, kokaina, czyli pomieszanie z poplątaniem w "Matce" Witkacego

2016

Masteroppgave i spesialsykepleie – Universitetet i Agder 2014 Background: Experiences from practice in surgical units led us to question what makes teamwork effective and elegant, and also reflect upon the causes of situations where the teamwork is less than optimal and team members become frustrated. Purpose and research question: We based our research design on some of the relational factors defined in Reeves et al. (2010) conceptual framework for interprofessional teamwork. This was done to explore how surgical nurses experience these factors in relation to cooperation in surgical teams. Benthic‐pelagic coupling and trophic relationships in northern Baltic Sea food webs

2020

Understanding marine ecosystem structure and functioning is crucial in supporting sustainable management of natural resources and monitoring the health of marine ecosystems. The current study utilized stable isotope (SI) mixing models and trophic position models to examine energy flow, trophic relationships, and benthic‐pelagic coupling between food web components. Roughly 1900 samples from different trophic levels in the food web, collected during 2001–2010 from four northern and central sub‐basins of the Baltic Sea, were analyzed for SI ratios of carbon and nitrogen. Trophic structure of the food webs among the sub‐basins was consistent, but there were differences between the proportions …

2022

This qualitative study investigates customer-brand relationships between customers and digital brands. Teacher evaluations are also used to assess the children’s academic competencies and behaviour. Univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used to analyse the data. Intra‐individual dynamics of lesson‐specific engagement: Lagged and cross‐lagged effects from one lesson to the next

2020

Background Student engagement denotes active participation in academic work through commitment and involvement in learning tasks (Appleton et al., 2006, Journal of School Psychology, 44, 427). This study looks at questions such as whether engagement experiences in one lesson have an effect on the next lesson. In the present study, process‐oriented analyses were conducted to examine lower secondary school students’ engagement experiences and the stability of those experiences from one lesson to the next. Aims (1) To what extent are students’ engagement experiences, in terms of behavioural and cognitive engagement, emotional engagement, and disaffection, stable from one lesson to the next (au…
