As lymphatic microsurgery has become more common, vascularized lymph node transfer ascended to the forefront in many centers for the surgical management of advanced stages of lymphedema showing substantial clinical improvement. However, no consensus has been reached among experts regarding many details of the procedures, including patient selection criteria, type of treatment, donor, and recipient sites and postoperative evaluation of the outcome. Here, we will review these issues and provide the current results of this procedure.

The precise determination of the polarization state of light is fundamental for a vast variety of applications in remote sensing, astronomy, optics and terahertz technology, to name just a few. Typically, polarization characterization is performed by using a combination of multiple optical devices such as beam splitters, polarizers, and waveplates. Moreover, to achieve high-precision, balanced photodetectors and lock-in amplifiers are employed, thus contributing to increasing system complexity. Water pollution caused by organic micropollutants further aggravates the problem, by rendering an already scarce resource unfit for human consumption. The existing conventional wastewater treatment methods and infrastructure were not designed to eliminate micropollutants. Maģistra darba “Neveiksmīgas remigrācijas pieredze” mērķis ir analizēt neveiksmīgas remigrācijas pieredzi un sniegt izpratni par strukturālām problēmām, kas noteikušas atkārtotas emigrācijas lēmumu. Gan kā pētījuma dizains, gan analīzes metode tiek lietots naratīvs. Kvalitatīvā pētījuma dati iegūti, 2020.–2022. gadā veicot 16 padziļinātas daļēji strukturētas biogrāfiskās intervijas. Astoņi no remigrantiem pēc 12–18 mēnešiem atkārtoti lūgti pastāstīt par izmaiņām pieredzē un attieksmēs. Pieejas nolūks ir saprast, kā mainās naratoru vēlme atgriezties un domas par atkārtotas remigrācijas iespējām.
