BACKGROUND: The loss of corticosteroid efficacy is an important issue in severe asthma management and may lead to poor asthma control and deterioration of airflow. Recent data indicate that Mucin 1 (MUC1) membrane mucin can mediate corticosteroid efficacy in chronic rhinosinusitis, but the role of MUC1 in uncontrolled severe asthma is unknown. Building on previous governmentality critiques of participatory initiatives, this article investigates practices of resistance in the context of Finnish participatory social policy. I adopt a Foucauldian counter-conducts approach as my lens to study critical speech as a form of resistance in initiatives that invite marginalised people as ‘experts-by-experience’ in social welfare organisations. La sperimentazione esposta nella presente pubblicazione tratta dell’impiego di fibre di PET, ricavate dal semplice taglio di contenitori per bevande secondo un procedimento brevettato, nel rinforzo di calcestruzzi destinati anche a impieghi strutturali. Descrive le caratteristiche geometriche delle fibre e ne indaga la durabilità in condizioni severe che potrebbero presentarsi in un’applicazione pratica quale una pavimentazione esterna. A tal fine campioni costituiti da gruppi di fibre sono stati immersi per tredici giorni a 65°C in soluzioni a differente concentrazione di NaOH (0,103 M e 1,75 M).
