A review of music and emotion studies: Approaches, emotion models, and stimuli
2013
Abstract. The field of music and emotion research has grown rapidly and diversified during the last decade. This has led to a certain degree of confusion and inconsistency between competing notions of emotions, data, and results. The present review of 251 studies describes the focus of prevalent research approaches, methods, and models of emotion, and documents the types of musical stimuli used over the past twenty years. Although self-report approaches to emotions are the most common way of dealing with music and emotions, using multiple approaches is becoming increasingly popular. A large majority (70%) of the studies employed variants of the discrete or the dimensional emotion models. A …

2012
Scientific journals are facing an increasing competition directly impacting publishers and editorial boards. In addition, access to scientific information and reading patterns have deeply changed. From 2003 the journal Agronomy for Sustainable Development (ASD) has adapted its editorial policy to this highly competitive and moving environment in order to stand out and improve its impact (1). The scope, language and title of the journal were modified. A preselection step was introduced, several calls for reviews were made and spin-off books were published (2). Particular attention was given to abstracts, titles, colour figures and photos. A sister book series named Sustainable Agriculture Re…

2015
The Clinical Value of Autoantibodies in Rheumatoid Arthritis
2018
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a highly heterogeneous syndrome in terms of clinical presentation, progression, and response to therapy. In such a complicated context, the identification of disease-related biomarkers would be undoubtedly helpful in assisting tailored approaches for every patient. Despite remarkable efforts, however, progress in new biomarker development and validation is dramatically slow. At present, none of the candidate genetic, cellular, or molecular biomarker has yet surpassed the clinical value of RA-specific autoantibodies, including rheumatoid factor (RF) and anti-citrullinated protein autoantibodies (ACPA). Rather, recent years have witnessed significant advancements …
