Novel inulin-based mucoadhesive micelles loaded with corticosteroids as potential transcorneal permeation enhancers

In this work a new copolymer of inulin (INU) derivatized with ethylendiamine (EDA) and retinoic acid (RA), named INU-EDA-RA, was synthetized, characterized and employed to produce micelles as carriers for topical administration of corticosteroids for the potential treatment of diseases of posterior eye segment. Spectroscopic analysis confirmed a molar derivatization degree of 11.30 and 4.30% in EDA and RA, respectively. INU-EDA-RA micelles are capable of strong mucoadhesive interactions which result time-independent and stable over time but concentration depending. The Greek version of the const. Imperatoriam reproduces a discourse made by an antecessor of Justinian’s age in the introductory lesson of his course on Institutes. He translated the constitution with the addition of didactical explications and clarifying remarks. Some terminological peculiarities induce to deny that this antecessor was Theophilos. Rather, we are faced with a fragment of teaching’s activity on Institutes of a not-recognizable Justinianic antecessor.

Background Explore the treatment of oral lichen planus with topical corticosteroids by the healthcare professionals in Spain. Material and Methods A questionnaire targeted health professionals who treat OLP, in particular maxillofacial surgeons, dermatologist and dentist. The dissemination of the questionnaires was conducted through professional associations and dental and medical societies. The questionnaire was previously evaluated by means of a cognitive pre-test procedure to ensure that the questions were opportune and appropriate, understandable and acceptable among the professionals. Aims: To assess and compare the optical quality of the myopic and hyperopic implantable collamer lens (ICL) from its wavefront aberrations for different powers and pupil diameters. Abstract The effect of a varying pH, in the range 3−7, on the retention of several diuretics eluted with a sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) micellar mobile phase and with UV detection was studied. Significant changes in the capacity factors ( K′ of the diuretics bumetanide, ethacrynic acid, furosemide, probenecid and xipamide were observed. The protonation constants of these compounds were calculated from the k′ data. Small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) have the potential to be of therapeutic value for many human diseases. So far, however, a serious obstacle to their therapeutic use is represented by the absence of appropriate delivery systems able to protect them from degradation and to allow an efficient cellular uptake. In this work we developed a siRNA delivery system based on inulin (Inu), an abundant and natural polysaccharide.
