This book offers a basic introduction to social research methods for undergraduates. Written in a quite accessible style, each topic is presented with many examples, actual tools, and a touch of creativity. Even data analysis is explained from a unique angle, with a very limited use of statistics and math. Although the book is simple and concise, the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the matter has never been discarded. The book ends up with a short treatment of recent developments in the field.

Sumac (Rhus coriaria L.), a spice obtained by grinding whole sumac berries, is a complex natural product with a plethora of biological activities that can be favorably explored in nutraceutical and pharmaceutical fields. Sicilian sumac is herein chemically investigated by means of a combined NMR/HR MS-based profiling. A hydroalcoholic extract was prepared and its complexity unraveled following fractionation in an alcoholic and an aqueous fraction. Pare che il fenomeno sia riconducibile in parte a decisioni aziendali ma in gran parte a decisioni volontarie dei lavoratori. La mobilità volontaria e involontaria hanno sempre caratterizzato i mercati del lavoro nel mondo investendo le funzioni aziendali di ricerca e selezione delle risorse umane. Longitudinal analysis of Spanish doctoral theses in education (1841-2012)

This article analyzes the research output of doctoral theses in the field of Education defended in Spain from 1841-2012. It offers a quantified global and diachronic view of such series. As a landmark to note is the fact that until 1954, obtaining a doctoral degree was centralized at the Complutense University of Madrid. They are used as search engines bibliographic databases: TESEO and institutional repositories, and basic bibliography of the area to carry out the collection of the sample. Il testo presenta una ricerca quantitativa condotta in sette sedi universitarie italiane che focalizza le motivazioni degli studenti a scegliere la lingua tedesca all'interno del loro corso di laurea come materia opzionale. Lo studio mira a capire se la motivazione per l'apprendimento del tedesco a livello universitario negli ultimi anni è cambiata, cioè se - come anche in altri paesi - prevale una motivazione prettamente funzionale alla possibilità di trovare un lavoro dopo la laurea, o se persistono degli interessi sia culturali sia linguistici come stimolo per apprenderla.
