Clinical or care pathways are developed by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare practitioners, based on clinical evidence, and standardized processes. The evaluation of their framework/content quality is unclear. The aim of this study was to describe which tools and domains are able to critically evaluate the quality of clinical/care pathways. Tutkielmani tarkoituksena on tarkastella Sigmund Freudin ja Erich Frommin kuvaa ihmisluonnosta, ihmisestä sosiaalisena olentona sekä ihmisen suhteesta maailmaan. Käyn aluksi lävitse Freudin ihmiskuvaa, jossa ihmisen käytös on pitkälti ulkomaailman realiteettien sanelemaa, mutta ihminen omaa kyvyn sisäistää ulkomaailman osia itseensä, muovaten siten sekä itseään että suhdettaan maailmaan. Il contributo è dedicato all’impiego iconografico della proceritas, l’alta statura, nell’arte ufficiale romana. Per indicarne l’importanza, già nella pittura funeraria etrusca è noto l’uso di raffigurare personaggi diversamente dimensionati. Nell’arte romana tale fenomeno è ben conosciuto nelle produzioni private mentre è più raro sui monumenti pubblici. In questo tipo di opere e in analogia al suo significato in Etruria, la proceritas ha la funzione di mettere in risalto una particolare figura. A two-stage LDA algorithm for ranking induced topic readability

Probabilistic topic models, such as LDA, are standard text analysis algorithms that provide predictive and latent topic representation for a corpus. However, due to the unsupervised training process, it is difficult to verify the assumption that the latent space discovered by these models is generally meaningful and valuable. This paper introduces a two-stage LDA algorithm to estimate latent topics in text documents and use readability scores to link the identified topics to a linguistically motivated latent structure. Aim: Biological diversity typically varies between climatically different regions, and regions closer to the equator often support higher numbers of taxa than those closer to the poles. However, these trends have been assessed for a few organism groups, and the existing studies have rarely been based on extensive identical surveys in different climatic regions. The genome sequence of Blochmannia floridanus: Comparative analysis of reduced genomes

Bacterial symbioses are widespread among insects, probably being one of the key factors of their evolutionary success. We present the complete genome sequence of Blochmannia floridanus , the primary endosymbiont of carpenter ants. Although these ants feed on a complex diet, this symbiosis very likely has a nutritional basis: Blochmannia is able to supply nitrogen and sulfur compounds to the host while it takes advantage of the host metabolic machinery. Remarkably, these bacteria lack all known genes involved in replication initiation ( dna A, pri A, and rec A).
